For those of you who like laughing at how stupid Mikey Miss is he's currently spouting how few "untouchable" players there are in the city. He's got Ertz on the list and no one from the Flyers. Somehow Nola is only "half untouchable" too.

List of things I'd rather do than listen to Mike Missanelli:
1.) Get hit by a bus
2.) Snort a line of arsenic
3.) Tell Mike Tyson personally that I think he is a punk

Maybe that's what's being offered and why he hasn't signed yet. The kid has a huge upside, but he was really misused last season. He should never be paired with AMac, and anyone playing with Ghost is going to be made to look bad sometimes, especially a green rookie. He even makes Provy look bad 5v5. - hockeyal
Hagg played 1 year in the NHL no way is he getting a long term deal. He's getting bridged. He didn't earn term with his level of play. |

I don't think there is a "untouchable" player in all of sports. If the Flyers called up Edmonton and offered them Provorov, Konecny, all 3 of Ghost, Couturier, and Giroux at 50% retained, plus 4 consecutive 1st and 2nd round draft picks, they could get McDavid. Granted, the packages have to be absurdly stupid, but you potentially get any player if you really wanted to. |

I mean we could have won in 2010 Biron, Mason or Bryzgalov. Any decent goalie would have faired better than Leighton or Boucher - xShoot4WarAmpsx

I agree that isn't not cut and dry. That said, if he lets in one less goal in games 1 and 6, we win the Cup. |

I mean, it's obvious that the majority of players from juniors to the NHL are white. It's apparent that it's a white-dominated sport statistically. But Ray Emery's passing has nothing to do with his race and everything to do with former NHL player and a flawed yet generous person passing. - jmatchett383

Why is his race even being brought up? |

All sports are heading this way. Thereâs huge money in youth sports. You see it mostly in football and baseball right now. |

Bill, Sorry I missed you at the Ides of March team photo. I wanted to personally thank you for donation. I was glad I surpassed my goal of $1000. Total donation was $175. My first ever 50k bike ride was awesome, other than a little sore today. Hope to see you next year. |

On the Flyers current roster, he is a top 4. he might get PLAYED on the bottom pairing, but that will just be another mistake on the handling of personnel.
Just read another column on how if the Flyers managed to get Erik Karlsson, even if it meant trading one of their young Ds to get him, it would change the entire dynamic in the Eastern conference.
Ghost + TK for Karlsson. Its what the Lightning, Pens and Caps fear most. - hockeyal
No thanks on TK + Ghost for Karlsson.
Maybe if Karlsson was younger but then you would be paying more.

It was meant to be put out there as hockey is still very much a "white" sport. Unless you excel, tbh the odds of making it to the NHL are slim. Opportunities for POC are few and far between. Sad but true. - Darksyde
For those who donât know. Iâm Black. Iâm also Canadian. So believe me when I say, hockey is welcomed to anyone in Canada who can afford to play it.
Wayne Simmonds is in my top five all time favorite Flyers. Ray Emery was my number one all time favorite Flyer goalie. Does being black play into a factor as to why I love both these players. Sure. It also helps that theyâre both tough and theyâre both GOOD! Donald Brashear in my mind is one of the top three greatest Enforcers in the Flyers history. Jerome Iginla in my opinion is one of the leagueâs wingers.
I hate your comments. They offend me and theyâre ignorant. |

It's very possible that the Flyers top 4 this season is Provorov-Gostisbehere-MacDonald-Sanheim. We'll see what the pairings are and the usage. Sanheim has a lot more potential to be a long term top 4 than Hagg does.
I would pass on that trade.

Hagg does not have a huge upside from this point on nor was he misused. MacDonald is probably the best choice for a young rookie defenseman to play with. Solid and calming. Gostishebere had a strong season last year overall and didn't make anyone look bad.

Hagg is a bit of a question mark to me. Based on what I read, he added physicality into his nhl Repertoire when he entered the league. The hitting wasnât always there. I also read a few mock drafts during his draft year where he was expected to go in the first round. I hope he stays the same though. |
