No thanks on TK + Ghost for Karlsson.
Maybe if Karlsson was younger but then you would be paying more. - opeth_pa
The Flyers have better puck movers in the pipeline, and they unload a liability by trading up. And G and Coots were better or the same with different wingers, whereas TK was not so much playing off the #1 line. |

It's very possible that the Flyers top 4 this season is Provorov-Gostisbehere-MacDonald-Sanheim. We'll see what the pairings are and the usage. Sanheim has a lot more potential to be a long term top 4 than Hagg does.
I would pass on that trade. - MJL
Agreed about Sanheim. But the Flyers are wasting Provorov's offensive talent if they play him with Ghost. Optimal pairings have somebody playing with Provorov 5v5 and hopefully 25' per night and Ghost playing PP1 and as little 5v5 as possible. So who is the stay at home guy you pair with Provorov?
Provorov-AMac/Hagg
Sanheim-AMac/Hagg
Ghost-Gudas
is optimal use of personnel. Depending on how much PK duty he draws, Hagg plays 20' per night. Which is why they should sign Sbisa or Enstrom for 1 year until Myers is ready. |

Machado will save us.
I'm ready to move on from the Kawhi fiasco. Go after Jimmy Butler instead. |

You crack me up! Provorov was 10th in the NHL among defenseman in EV scoring. He led the NHL for goal scoring for NHL defenseman, tied with Hedman. There isn't a single piece of information that makes your statement that he is being wasted offensively playing with Gostisbehere. None whatsoever. What you're posting is complete fantasy.
Why would we want a stay at home defenseman to play with Provorov? That's exactly what we don't want. Long term, we want Hagg playing less than 20 a night. Closer to 17.
Ideally we want Gostisbehere second only to Provorov in ES ice time. |

Of all of the defenders, who had the worst +/- down the stretch in March, and in the playoffs?
Who was on the ice for more game deciding goals against the Flyers than any other defender?

Pure speculation on my part but I wonder if the avascular necrosis in Ray's hip had something to do with this.
Swimming, then his condition flared leading to debilitating hip pain, and he sunk to the bottom. Some folks die from cramps while swimming for the same reason.

A number of players struggled in the Pens playoff series including Claude Giroux.
Where are you getting this info from about game deciding goals?

They aren't giving up Sanchez or roster players per reports. Idk how you can say that's foolish. They're going to back up the truck to Machado. He won't go anywhere. The Phillies are (frank)ing loaded right now.
Reports are that they're trying to get Britton from the Orioles as well so they're planning on addressing the bullpen too one way or another. |

No with a capital n for Medina too. 2 expensive as (frank) rentals. Yay.
FA is loaded this offseason. Stock up then. Team isn't winning anything this season even if they get both Machado and Britton |

For the love of God I can't wait to start seeing some of these kids filter in when ready and not see something like another Weise signing for a long, long time.
Hextall and his scouts have really done a fine job adding solid depth to every position. This is what happens when you don't blow picks on Versteeg and the husk of Pavel freaking Kubina.

This. I meant my comment as it's sad one of the few people of colour in the sport has passed. He was, and will continue to be, an influence to other POC that hockey isn't always for white kids. - Darksyde
