I honestly don’t see anything we can do risto is safe and Sam
yeah we could trade jake but he’s not going to land us a stud
So the only way is just go into the season with what we have and draft high again - gerbe75pts
We're gonna need AA meetings at the games, and CPS to safeguard the children from this abuse

Well at least i can say I barely tried - jcragcrumple
And good for you for giving the least amount of possible effort, a shining example for all...
Speaking of which, this whole winner take all Stanley Cup model is a bit archaic. We should just divvy up the cup for everyone based on participation and percieved effort.
Each team can share it in the off season. : : |

i dont think we would be able to get an already stud. i think they would have to bank on a most likely going to be a stud in a trade... sending Jake, guhle or scandella with picks. may not make us a cup contender but could help move things forward. unless you are picking top 3 that player most likely isn't playing in the nhl next season. |

Everyone has to look at the bigger picture if we land another top 5 pick we can then sign a vet in the UFA market and add the last pieces to be a cup contender |

Guhle is a different story I think he land us something really good but I don’t want to move him |

Hence the Pegulas investing an unprecedented amount in the peewee hockey scouting department, gotta get those future top 5 picks. Putting Kim in charge of amateur scouting does seem a bit of reach though... |

It’s not like we’re going to be a power house this team right now it’s a bottom 5 team and probably botts see this and is just going to get the winger at the draft - gerbe75pts
Yeah like Murray got his winger @8.. that worked out great.

So you're wasting even more years of top end players on the ELC?
Got it
Looks like someone doesn't understand the bigger picture and how the cap works |

So let’s rush the process so we can end up like the rangers and Montreal and be stuck in the average level and not win anything
You slowly build |

99% of this fan base will not tolerate a bottom 5 season.
It will be 8 years with no signs of improvement.
People think the arena is bad now. Imagine what happens if this team falls on its face again this year. |

montreal has completely different issues.. spending 20 mil on an old dman and a goalie is a hurdle they will probably never be able to make up for |

I agree with most of the posters on here. We see upgrades throughout and finish somewhere around 85 points. We are in the lottery but picking in the 10-14 range. Best case scenario Mitts and Dahlin grow up quickly and we see a surprise or two from some of our fringe NHL prospects and we grab the last wild card spot with great goaltending between Hutton/Ullmark pushing each other. |
