This looks like a 75 point team to me. I think that's perfectly fine. JB wants to develop players and build this slowly. He's not going to go all GMTM and deal all our firsts next year for vets. |

Jack: You hear they're trying to trade you on Hockeybuzz again?
Samson: Yeah, I'm used to it. Someone called me a bust after my 9 game tryout. I guess you need a winger.
Jack: But don't they know that you're my winger for the opposite side, and that by trading you they would simply fill one void by opening another?
Samson: Madness, I tell you. Madness. The Skunk gif with the milk carton was alright though. Hey, do you have any blow left?
Jack: You really need to stop that poop.
Samson: I'll just hit up Bogo. - RhinoFan
But we could get a upgrade winger like stone

So let’s rush the process so we can end up like the rangers and Montreal and be stuck in the average level and not win anything
You slowly build - gerbe75pts
Slowly?
They haven't drafted above 8th in 7 years
How much slower do you want them to go?
The Rangers went to the Cup finals and have been a playoff team year in year out, you cannot compare the Rangers with the Habs
Also want to know the only two things those teams have in common? They are paying their goaltenders gobs of money.

GMTM is gone, we don't have to do favors for Ottawa any more. |

Moving 1 is fine, but I expect that to come next off season. 1 significant trade each off season for the next few years is my expectation. |

for a goalie
could possibly package two to move up and get one higher in the draft too |

It’s not that bad you don’t want to see 2 player Fumble the puck and shoot it over the net - gerbe75pts
Is it not reasonable to expect a modicum of success with 2 second overall picks and a first within five years? Holy hell, Botterill needs to figure out how to make this team competitive now |

Guess we'll see how the goaltending plays out this year. I do expect him to draft a goalie early next year as well. Rare to see a goalie go before the late first recently, so it's a good opportunity.

I’m usually never wrong about predicting that will be a bottom team
Right now with no legit winger wouldn’t Surprise me if we Finish in the bottom three |

I get the impatience, but you know JB has patience and confidence in his plan. I still think he laid out a 2-year GMTM cleanse when he got the job. When you look at his moves, I'm more confident of that than ever.
Dahlin, Ullmark, Thompson, Asplund, Pu, Nylander, etc. all need a little time to grow before they can really compete. This year should be a big step in the right direction. |

Maybe he'll work out, but he's the only one in the pipeline. I think he'll grab another next year.

is 75 points a solid step in the right direction, or sucking? Fair to disagree on that I guess.
