With Dahlin and Mittelstadt in Buffalo. Guhle and Thompson are our top two prospects. I think your love for RoR is bleeding over a bit much if you can only consider Thompson a 'decent' prospect. Most of our system is a grade or two below him.
- Lunaion

I laid out why Thompson is only a “decent” prospect imo and not a “good” one
It has absolutely nothing to do with O’Reilly

Even if u discount the 3 goals in 41 NHL games...
8 goals in 30 AHL games is not “good” for a guy who supposedly has a great shot

It’s concerning imo
“A” prospects that are goal scorers (should/do) put up better stats than that

It’s worse lmao ..

It’s always the same answers with the old people back in my day it was better

- gerbe75pts

everyone has said that from the dawn of day.. the 20 year olds always think they are going to make it better the 60+ think its going to hell.. rinse repeat. open your eyes and learn from history. things will always change some things will get better some things will get worse.

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has signed forward C.J. Smith to a one-year, two-way contract with an AAV of $874,125.

And then there was 1

I like that we are getting all our RFAs signed quickly
Never understood why simple deals like these would drag on throughout the summer

It’s not like I’m calling him a bust
Just downgrading him bc he had a season that is considered below expectations for an “A” level (or “good”) prospect

I don’t think I’m saying anything crazy here
Pretty obvious stuff

This only works for ECHL right? Skunk doesn't get the extra bump because, well, Gerbe math can add or take 10-20% depending on who he likes. I'll hang up and listen.

Sure sams 11 points in 38 games helped us bottom out quicker He is truly a franchise changing player

Or should I call him Sam Gagner

What about in the last 40 games where he had 37 points? According to your math, that's a ppg.

I really don't get the Reinhart hate, or trade talk. If he gets you Laine, Taresenko, etc... then you trade him every day of the week.

If that isn't the case, which it never will be, then you keep him. Plain and simple.

I think it's the wording that's getting you tangled. If you said a good prospect, not great, you'd be fine. "Decent" sounds like he may not even make the big leagues, when he's already played in them at 20 yoa.

Middle 6, hopefully can pot 15-20 a season regularly. He's a "good" not "great" prospect. Sorry for nitpicking.

I know right... but the reviews from development camp were a lot better on Pilut not being Antipin 2.0. And he already has more upside because he was voted best defenseman in the shl.

He's a B+ prospect. You're labeling him a C.

Baptiste had 7 goals in 36 AHL games as a 22 year old. I'm pretty sure you view him as better than a C prospect.

Call the NHL. Last year? 2 years ago? When there were 2 different dates for the trade deadline online I called and the (frank)ing guy wouldn't let me off the phone. I didn't want to be rude, so I talked to the guy for like 5 minutes.

By my math you have to minus the 10% plus the 5% divided by 20

Looking at 33% but we have to minus 10% for his games played so 30 %
