Definitely not trading for elite players when we are talking about Skinner or Pacioretty. Just good players that have shown 0 interest in wanting to stay with their current clubs.

So the price of those players drops immensely in those types of situations.

Next season is when the Sabres should start targeting big players. If Panarin makes the UFA list he and Eich or Mitts would create magic for years. Guaranteed cup.
