Agreed. Regardless of how everyone feels about skunk, he has improved is point total every year in the league. The hard part will be figuring out where he plateaus.

I’m glad the second overall picks Point total is going up to the 50s

One is 5 years younger. Younger players are getting paid more in the current league set up.

botts got a good prospect
a first
a second
2 guys for the second/3rd line for ror

what was anyone expecting?

erik karlsson?

- homiedclown

I was expecting to get the best player... we didn’t... not even close. Just because we got 5 guys Dosen’t mean we got the better deal, yet. Still hoping the first turns into a good player...

Be a smart ass all you want, he's tied for 4th in points for his draft class. Draisaitl(207), Pasta(203), Ehlers(169), Skunk/Larkin(140). Willy Nylander and Arvaddson (sp?) will be ahead of him in ppg. Either way, when he's trending up and is a top 7 forward in his class player for the teams he's been on, I'm not ready to throw him in the used toy bin. But that's my opinion.

I think it probably balances out

Sam is younger & with more potential
Henrique put up a 30g season & plays center

If Sam gets a 5yr deal,
it’s probably right around the 5.5m that Henrique got- give or take a little

If Sam gets a 1 or 2 year bridge deal,
more likely imo...
then he will most like get around 4mil I’d think

I don’t think Gerbe is saying to dump him either

I’ve seen him say to trade Sam for Stone from Ottawa
That’s not exactly “throwing him in the used toy bin” though

He’s tied for fourth ? You mean the guy that we tanked for thinking he could be a our franchise center the guy that lots of people thought he was going to be our Jonathan Towes

It’s what Buffalo fans are becoming happy that we got a Average Stafford player and wondering why we still suck

I'm more just referencing Gerbe saying 3.5M. The answer is no after Henrique got what he got, regardless of how many years. Then Gerbe says Henrique has proved it when they have the ~ the same goals per game and points per game. Your numbers sound about right. I wouldn't mind 5 years at 5.5M

Thank you .. I doubt the Ottawa Senators want to pay 7m or more for stone they can have Sam at 5m instead and younger

All I can say is jack need to have at least 80-90 points or he is going to be taking some major heat..., 10 million for 64 point won’t cut it anymore...

Tied for fourth after year 3. Not everyone can be a superstar leading their draft class in points. In fact only one can per draft class. If you get 3/4 that are in the top 5 of their draft classes, more then likely you will have a solid group of players. Also, you're the guy who was beating the Domi drum. Care to guess where he falls in his draft class?

He just compared him to Drew Stafford. He might not have said used toy bin, but if that comparison isn't exactly that I don't know what is.
