Hey Lefty, Happy National Hot Dog Day.
- A_SteamingLombardi
The Council designates July as National Hot Dog Month; National Hot Dog Day varies year to year – in 2018 it falls on Wednesday, July 18 – based on when the North American Meat Institute hosts its annual Hot Dog Lunch on Capitol Hill.

I like how they just pick and choose the day they want to celebrate.

Toronto's game in Vancouver this year is not on a Sat. and not at 4pm. WOW about (frank)ing time.

Favourite part of attending weekend baseball is leaving the game with 3-4 hours of daylight at minimum, grabbing dinner somewhere and being able to get your evening drink on without paying 14 bucks a piece

He played 19:20 last season. I doubt he is playing anymore. 23rd in the league for Centers. Sedin's minutes will go to EP, and some one. Leipsic scored at the same ppg rate as Daniel did. As for PP minutes, not sure.

I do think Lipstick will surprise give the role/opportunity. EP we'll see how sheltered his minutes will be. You could be right they may want to keep Horvat below 20min but I have a feeling he will be around the 21 min per game mark.

In 64 games last season Horvat finished with 44 pts which is good for a pace of 64+ points over a healthy 82 game sched. He's up about 12 pts per season barring last years injury.

If he plays 82 this year with all the extra TOI with Sedins gone there should be no reason he should not break 70 points.

- LordHumungous

Your math is off, that’s a 55 point pace. Horvat scoring 60 points would be a successful year no?

Simple math son

lol fair enough but why can't we dream that Horvat is a 70 point guy??

He said the exact same thing last season and even with all those injuries the Canucks moved up a few spots.

I don't know what the impact of losing the Sedins will be. I think at worse the team finishes in the same 3-6 from bottom range myself. This is their biggest transition season since the West Coast Express was dismantled and the Sedins became the transition. There will be growing pains.

Next season(2019) I think the team will turn some heads... Horvat in his prime and the Captain. Boeser in his 3rd season and top 3 sniper in the league. EP will have more of a mans body in his sophomore season... same as Hughes and will be transitioned into the roster and comfortable. Woo is making the team in 2019 I think... OJ will be settled in... there will be noticeable improvement at that point. This season is just a big question mark. I'm prepared for last but Horvat, Boeser and EP might have something to say about that.

Improvement at 5v5(mostly defensively)

Same here, unless I'm going to the game, I love the earlier weekend games. I find myself just recording the 7PMSaturday ones and watching them on Sundays lol.
