How does Doughty - a 1x Norris winner - get $11MM
but Karlsson - a 2x Norris winner - not get more? - Pen15
1 Norris, two Stanley Cups, better defensive player, Conn Smythe candidate.
It's cute to leave out more than half the poop Doughty's won though. |

Why of course. When you're done let me know - I'm up next. There was something about all of us having to each our own hats and I've been eating a poop ton of kale and asparagus and must know if it affects the taste, for you know, science.
HOHO do let us know - RickJames77
According to a direct source I know.
Eating a ton of strawberries does have an impact.
Which is great because I love strawberries anyway....win/win scenario. |

But a team can’t win without a Norris winner currently on the roster. So how did LA win those Cups? |

That would be next years problem would it not? - bobbyisno1
It would be a massive problem because if Nylander is to be acquired, you want him extended and if Nylander gets extended this year, Matthews and Marner need extensions next year. But if you move Nylander, the money he would make would go to Karlsson and then they can all fit. |

No, I didn't.
I said every Norris winner has won a Cup or gone to the Finals in the past 30 years and every multi-time Norris winner has won the Cup.
This is to suggest that Karlsson's odds, based on history, are very strong to make his future team a contender.
That is completely different than saying a team must have a Norris winner to win the Cup.
It's not even (frank)ing close to the same thing. |

0 is 0. Didn't say 0 Norris Trophies. Just said 0.
So if that needs even more clarification, Nylander hasn't won poop. He's scored 60 two years in a row playing with Matthews and he has potential to score more in the future. But he's not an award winning type player. He's not better than Karlsson, especially for a team like the Leafs that have the offensive power but need help on the blueline. - Unholy_Goalie
Would you smile or frown if nylander outscore Karlsson next year, be honest |

The Masterton! Now that's an award suited for sympathy.
Like the time that bum Lupul thought he had a chance in front of Pacioretty who won his life back. |

Yep
If he's really interested in signing for your team wait until he's a UFA. And if some other team wants to give up a Point and Sergachev+ to get him and sign him then (frank)ing let them |
