Sandin should stay in Sault Ste. Marie for another season. I don't think it hurts his development. Let him tear it up in the O.

100% agreed - I just thought that would be a funny thing to post.

They're stacked too.

Raddysh, Hayton, Katchouk, Frost....

I tried to use one of those.

But I was too drunk, so I didn't have enough RAM.

A good read on Athletic showing how well Rielly and Gardiner have played together....and also Carrick with Gardiner.

Gardiner-Rielly
Hamuis-Zaitzev
Dermott-Hainsey
Carrick

Could work

I'd bet on him signing long term

The stats don't lie, he is a good d man. He's just a high risk player...they just need another top 4.

Another duo that had a really good run was Marincin and Zaitsev.

They actually did...Babs played Z badly last season, he's much better than he was. They need someone to help take the shutdown mins from him.

Which there's a good chance they could develop from within the Leafs organization. That has the added benefit of being affordable, which will help sign the forwards.

I don't buy into the whole 'the sky is falling' thing over defense, with the increased offence this year Andersen is going to face (far?) fewer shots.

I also look at how much better the squad was at the end of the year - they are taking instruction and developing. I don't see any reason why this should stop.

Yep. I'd still like Faulk but mostly because he's available.

I'd be fine with signing Hamuis, he proved last year he was fine in a 2nd pairing role...and the opposite of Hainsey where Hamuis actually improved in the 2nd half

Marincin could be back in the NHL, he played pretty well on the Marlies. He will get a shot as much as people hate that he will

I have no problem with Hamhuis on a one year deal, his experience might be beneficial to the younger guys.

He's a great number 5 and an average number 4. Probably his last year at this level so a one year deal around 3 million makes sense.

Just a theory but it could of been that Babs just didn't want to stack one pairing and have a weak bottom 4...starting last season we would of had Zaitzev, Hainsey, Carrick, Polak rounding out the bottom 4. That isn't good enough

I think he snaps up a 3 million dollar contract, but there aren't any being offered.

Dumb and Dumber is the greatest movie of all time.
Sandin hasn't played a full season in the OHL. Think it's best for him. Going back to the SEL may not be the best thing.
