Von Dudensteins,
Nobody mentioned Rayzor’s segment with BD today? Sounds like Risto could be the captain. Would explain why YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEichel was wearing an A in his shoot with Hilary Knight. Good thing 3ER has his finger on the pulse around here. |

Hearing Ray talk about Risto's fire (which I totally believe btw), is way different than listening to Hamilton.
Wtf?
How is there that much of a gulf between two people who closely follow the team? |

Ray is a PSE employee. He doesn't really criticize anyone.

Razor strikes me as an honest guy though. If he doesn't like a guy, he just won't talk about him. He's not gonna fabricate stuff to make a guy look good. After Pham making up the story about the sabres not getting Antipin a translator, his credibility is shot in my eyes
Razor also doesn't see us competing for a couple years, so he's not a total homer |

From what I understand ,Antipin didn't have a translator, he had a teacher. I like Hamilton. I think he gives a very balanced view. |

Thanks for the Tip. Actually found this Jewel in the comments:
Q: Why is the Hockey Hall Of Fame in Toronto?
A: It's the only way Leafs fans can get to see the Stanley Cup!
Q: Why do people like driving a car with a Maple Leafs fan?
A: Because you can park in the handicap zone!
Q: What does an Toronto Maple Leafs fan do when his team has won the Stanley Cup?
A: He turns off the PlayStation 3.

Potato potahto. He criticized the team for not helping Antipin learn English. Whether that's a teacher or someone to translate for him, which is more or less the same thing. If you can speak two languages fluently you can probably teach someone either language, at least enough to get by. By reading these comments most of us could use some tutoring in English. |

If the Sabres somehow didnt care to help antipin learn the English language, that leads me to believe:
The Sabres were not trying to win.
Sorry taco |

Not sure exactly what your point is?
Last year we were losing on purpose and signed a 155 lb defenseman and didnt help him as adjust to the American culture?
This year we are trying to win, and didnt want him back, because hes an ahl level defenseman? |

I agree with both:
Bad attitudes, bad players and bad habits = losing |

You can either believe he was being disingenuous or that he didn't know they provided a teacher. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. It was clear that he didn't have a translator and that he struggled with even simple questions from the media.

I was excited when they signed him,
His D sucked, but his O was good...but that was on a bigger surface.
More than the language, he never adjusted to less time and space on the ice surface.
Oh well.
This season I'm equally excited for Pilut.
Shouldn't be a language barrier to deal with, especially since there are so many Swedes on the team. Let's hope he gets proper coaching to adjust to the NA game...he could be a terrific find!
Imagine if they hit on Olofsson and Pilut! |

Agreed.
Pham should have done a better job in understanding the real situation better. Coming out with a definitive statement like that does cause a bit of skepticism. He shoul d have just left it atthe fact Antipin struggled withtne english language based on his direct contact with him. |
