You're misreading what I'm saying. People are very negative about this team's chances, but there are too many new people at key positions to evaluate what we're gonna be.

Bottom 5 = 73 pts (Vancouver)

Bottom 12 = 84 pts (Calgary)

So , over the past couple days I have see you post that the Sabres will be "Bottom", "Bottom 5", Bottom 10.... And "JBotts needs to get a LW for Jack".
Let's assume Sheary is the 2nd LW, and therefore the new LW is #1...producing say 60 pts with Jack.

Yet, your gut says with said LW for Jack, you are suggesting the point production for the Sabres increases nominally...somewhere around a 4 -11 point difference (80 -> 84 pts, or 73 -> 84 pts)...
that can't be how you truely feel from the way you keep harping on it...it just doesn't stack up to me.

So one of two things, either
A) your projection of Sabres without LW is too high
B) projection of Sabres with said LW is too low

I'd say,
As is, without said LW = 82 pts
With said LW = 94

They were pretty good players. Nothing more.

Players like them get moved every offseason and deadline.

Teams also rarely, if ever move there top 1st or 2nd rated prospect.

His goal scoring is really good, but he’s supposedly a selfish player
Why is Carolina even thinking of moving a guy that can score 30 goals?
Especially when they need more scoring from their forwards
Causes concern imo

Seems like he’s trying to rebuild our system in his image
Which makes sense
But I’d much rather have had 1 really good piece & a Cap dump for ROR instead of all the “ok” parts we got

But there was also no rush to trade O’Reilly (that we know of) like there was Kane

the returns for those 2 guys was underwhelming imo

I agree, I would love to get MaxP if he were committed for 3 -4 years...he isn't so moving along.
Skinner would be good, but at what cost to acquire...

I think they need to look at emerging players rather than a highly established player as with those above.
Not sure exactly who that is...but per my previous post, package for such include a combination of the following:
-Existing NHL LhD ... Scandella, McCabe, Hunwick, Blowboy
-Existing NHL forwards ... Girgs, Larsson, Berglund, Sobotka
-Prospects...Bailey, Baptiste, Nylander, Smith, O'Reagan
-Draft picks ... 2019 1st, 2019 StL 1st, 2019 SJS 1St, 2019 2nd
