I’m just Curious if Sams signs a one year deal is he eligible for arbitration next year ? - gerbe75pts
Without checking, pretty sure that he is. I think that's why bots pushes for 3 years, and they settle for 2.

Interesting if I was him and the Sabres didn’t give me the contract I wanted i’d go for that 1 year deal and cash in next year |

Just saying - gerbe75pts
If Godzilla was in Infinity War it would have been a 5 minute movie. Thanos would arrive, 30 seconds later he would be liquefied by Zilla's laser shout, then there would be 4 1/2 minutes of Godzilla Thriller renditions to fill out some time.
Godzilla would smash the Hulk, find Wonder Woman's Jet and fix Dr Strange's hands in about 20 minutes. No comparison. No contest. |

It's not an easy deal and waiting is the only move an RFA really has. 50/50 that it's done before the start of camp. - Lunaion
Think it will hold out that long? Samson doesn't have much leverage, can't imagine that a bridge deal can be that hard to work out if the money isn't there for long term. |

You think Godzilla would’ve killed Thanos The world killer ? Lol he would just use the space stone and that’s it haha
Hell if Godzilla tried to hit him with a laser he’ll just turn that poop into bubbles
Godzilla Would have zero chance |

Worst case scenario is that someone offer sheets him at 7 years, $6.0 per. That's only a 1st and 3rd. That would be somewhat of a tough decision imo.
Unlikely, for sure |

Waiting is his only real leverage, so yes. I imagine JB offering 3x4m and Sam wanting 1x5m. JB might have the leverage, but Sam would fight the 3 years. |

That’s what I would do in all honesty if he did that I would give him major respect That means he’s willing to fight and prove everyone wrong and get that knock out |

It would actually be 2 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3rd, since you take the total value and divide by 5, not 7. Like you said, not going to happen anyways.

#Falcons WR Julio Jones does not plan to report to camp and he is comfortable sitting out the entire time, sources said. He is still seeking a contract adjustment, while the team made clear to him they did not plan to give him one. He appears resolute in his mindset. |

Good call, i never noticed that clause. So then a team would be almost be smarter to offer sheet him at 1 year, 6 mil.
Then they would own his RFA rights next year, too right? |

Sure, or go the RoR route....2 years and backload the contract to force the QO really high.
