Obviously Terry P and that Jezebel Kim ( WHo definitely isn’t into Terry for the great sex) got a bit too involved with their new toy when they bought the Sabres.
I look at the Sabres and to the owners and fans I preach patience. There will come a time when the management needs to start aggressively adding free agents and trading quality players from positions of depth to fill more urgent needs. Terry P jumped the gun on that with the Erhodd and Lieno signings. GMTM mis timed his shake up with Kane and Bogo for Stanford and Myers ++++ Trade and his trade for that poopty Goalie .so far this GM has been playing it cool. He made some very low risk moves for unknown commodities to mixed results, but who cares? They gave up (frank) all, unfortunately the Sabres didn’t do all that well with the Kane and RoR deals ( not horrible, but not real impactful for the long term).
My advice ( not that it’s worth Jack poop) is to keep evaluating the players, and keep letting them develop for the next 3 years. You’ll probably draft high for the next 2 drafts so don’t trade any 1sts or 2nds for a bit...and for God’s sake don’t get rid of Reinhardt and Risto just because they are real good and not real great. You need those guys.
You can do a Hell of a lot worse than Eichel, Dahlin and Risto as your core players. Maybe Mitts will fit in that group once he proves something in the NHL over 100 games or so....but regardless, you need to be patient when 2 of your top 4 talents have next to no NHL experience. - HonkyTonkMan
Always nice to here an Oilers fan talk about how to properly build a team. Thanks for stopping by.

I think he’s out of there to the market, but unless he changes his play significantly I think he will be disappointed by the market.
He’s not as good as he thinks. He’s a $5.5m 2BR/3a. |

I don't think so ? I watched it ("Brawl in Cell Block 99") on Terrarium TV last night (I've moved on from Kodi No Limits). The movie came out in 2017. One of those good movies that nobody has ever heard of. - kritter65
I heard about it when it came out. I wanted to see it, but it was on some weird platform. I can't remember which. I found it on one of the "free", read: malware central, sites. I might watch it later. |

I’m 99% sure a player can’t be moved after a hearing ..
But like you said he has to change his ways |

Jan 19 team can start negotiating an extension or trade. Sounds like about a month before TDL |

I hear the WiFi is bad in Winnipeg, and it's always dark and cold.
All this does is reaffirm that Trouba never did work things out in the peg. I bet he holds out next summer until he gets dealt, if he isn't playing somewhere else already. |

Had you considered that perhaps after watching mistake after mistake that maybe we might have learned a thing or too?
I guess you subscribe to the theory that a fans hockey knowledge is relative to his team’s success ? |

His career year in points was 33 in 60 games. Coincidentally the year he played 25 minutes a game. It’s almost as if playing a ton of minutes inflated his point totals |

When they come here and say "look at how the Oilers succeeded" and then it turns out it was just a blip because of hot goaltending. Yeah, pretty relative. |

Rolo? Are you kidding me? Any time I ever had one it tasted like it was sitting in the store since Rolo was airing commercials with the thinker sculpture. You can have them all day long with the 1st pick in a candy draft. |

Sure, I get that you've learned a thing or two--how to lose. You sure as hell haven't learned how to win. When you do, come back and let us know how it's done. |
