Toronto was bounced because Andersen couldn’t stop a beach ball and the best line in the NHL totally owned Toronto defensively and offensively. Total 200 foot effort. What happened when Boston played Tampa ? Whose Tampa’s enforcer ? Washington beat Tampa becuase Trotz defensive play stifled their offense in games 6 and 7. Not because they were scared of the physicality of one player.

Forgot to mention that Stamkos is the epic playoff choker nobody ever talks about in the above post as well. ^

I’m thinking we have 2 for sure-
Eichel & Reinhart
Jack is the only guy on the team i could see hit 30 this year though

Then i think there’s 3 other guys who might hit 20, & will probably be somewhere in the 17-23 range-
Okposo, Mittelstadt & Sheary

I don’t think anyone else on our team gets 20 goals this season

And if we are making a lineup that can contend, we need 2 LW, a Center & a RW who have the talent to potentially score 20goals

I bet we have 6 20 goal scorers up front

the d is the wild card

- homiedclown

I think we have 4. Eichel, Sam, Mitts, Sheary.

Berglund and Okposo have 20 goal potential depending on who they are playing with. But then I’d assume Sheary takes a hit.

What?
22 goals in 66 playoff games

That would equate to 27goals in an 82game regular season

I wouldn’t say that’s great...
Is it “choking” though?
That’s being harsh imo

Ovechkin was supposedly a “choker” till he won this year too

Tampa will win a Cup soon (maybe this season), and then all that nonsense will go away

My dudes,

I didn’t get to see any rockets launched into orbit today, but the only QB that was able to do anything in team drills was Allen. I think he starts game one. He did throw 2 picks, but one of them after KB bobbled it up in the air.

Other than that, Shady is awesome. Me and my bro watched him and Allen practice this weird motion play against air without ball on sideline. Then ran it first play 11 on 11. Shady went all Shady and weaved his way across the other side of the field for a TD. Tre White is so skinny. Can’t believe he is as tough as he is. He was on fleek. Lockdown.

Hoping for the best

Let’s see how the preseason games go at least first

I just want them to do what’s best for Allen long term
If that means sitting him even though McCarron & Peterman are mediocre,
so be it

Let’s develop Allen correctly
Can’t afford to screw this up

Why was Toronto bounced in the 1st round again. I don't like the way that team is set up. Talented, but playoff hockey is different than the regular season. Okposo and Bogo aren't tough. They don't hit. Ever. Pekar is 4 years away, if ever. Scandella is decent, but not nearly enough.

Because Matthews disappeared and Andersen is massively overrated.

I do it, and so do others, you're the one that doesn't. And you don't provide links for other stories either. You want people to explain things to you, but you refuse to explain things to others.

So pretty please, embed the tweet!

It takes less time than copying the text.

This is 100% correct. People think the reason the Sabres lost to Carolina in the 06' conference finals was because of bad luck; having 4 of our top 6 dmen injured, and oh btw Tim Connolly -- who was playing the best hockey of any player in those playoffs. All suffered injures...

That team, like every team since was soft. There there was a reason for all the injuries (besides McKee's staph infection.) It was because Carolina was extremely physical with is. They brought the physicality to the Sabres. And when you're constantly the team being roughed up, injuries are bound to happen. So in a sense, the injuries weren't based on bad luck; rather a circumstance of an extremely talented team being soft.

So why bring that up 12 years later? Well, because the current Sabres team, while they are loading up on talent, lack organizational toughness (they lack mental toughness, too, but that's a different issue.)

Eichel, Mitts, and Dahlin will be targets because of the lack of toughness. Obviously, there are no longer goons running around like it was in the 70s-90's. But there are Tom Wilson's, and if they aren't challenged (and I don't mean fighting) our star players will get taken advantage. Now this won't happen every game, and most fans won't have even notice. But it makes a difference when elite players can be on the ice knowing there is a player(s) that will partol the ice.

Also, being the aggressor gives players/teams a mental advantage, and a boost in confidence. Now I don't mean have a team full of Tom Wilson's. Not even close. But you do need some players that will initiate, and bring toughness. It's as much as a mentality as it is physically.

Those people are what I would call "right"

Sobotka, Risto, McCabe, Bailey, Bogo, Okposo

All of those guys throw down. That's plenty

Can you please embed the link?

I don't have twitter and I'm not rooting through poop to try and find it.

It takes less time than to copy and paste.

Be more considerate of others.

You are one of the few that doesn't post the links.

ROR was all over the internet. An obscure Bogo tweet isn't.

You could also go win those season tickets and donate them to charity. You know, show us all how “progressive” your generation is.
