Some non-Sens fans on here are very amazing. They act like they know whats happening with Karlsson and the sell of the team, but they're just speculating big time. They have made their own scenario in their head about the Sens and they are starting to believe it because nothing is going on around the team these days. They dont got sources inside the team and around the NHL to confirm what they're thinking is accurate. Also, no reporter in Ottawa have tweeted or have wrote something on Karlsson and the sell of the team lately. If something was happening, they'll let us know as fast as possible. So, non-Sens fans, just relax! Enjoy your summer.

Seriously, take a deep breath.

Neither Maverick nor I, were making fun of you. I was actually defending you, and he was agreeing with my point, which had nothing to do with you or your English. He was noting that it was very rare that we would see eye to eye, and that is related to the last few months of history here and has nothing to do with you.

You know Aetherial.... I agree with you again.... I feel like we could be turning over a new Leaf.... See what I did there? lol

So that's what concerns me, is the Stone, Duchene, Dzingel being UFA AS well as Karlsson next summer. Add to that the F'ing fact you don't have your first.
- AlfieisKing

The following year (after all the UFAs will presumably have left) they would actually.
So we'd miss on the 2019 draft, but 2020 could be huge for us. Who's eligible for that draft class?

They need to pick a direction. Trade some of these guys to Avs for a package with a top prospect and a our first back if you have to rebuild.

Leafs got Marner at 4 and Mathews at 1......without them, do they have the same rebuild? Doubt it.

- AlfieisKing

Agreed. I've said that IF they're losing EK65 (w/o a fair and significant return like Sergachev, Heiskanen, etc) then they're in a rebuild. Period. Whether PD or EM want to admit it to themselves or not.

LOL

Tumbleweed lost a bet a few weeks ago with a Sens fan.

So, in solidarity with someone who lost a bet and DIDN'T welch on it, I changed mine also.

Then 3 of us had the same avatar, So I updated the face to add a Karlsson 3-musketeers moustache and goatie, (and a small blue tear) and changed the heart to blue.

At some point I will grow bored and change it again. Tumbleweed is stuck until the end of next season I think

We still won't agree on Sens stuff... because we are on totally opposite sides.

Although, I do feel sorry for some Sens fans because this is an unheard of implosion of an organization from top to bottom.

I'm fine with disagreeing. If everyone agreed there would never be any discussion. So as long as we're not a**holes, it's all good.

I kind of view the situation like I view the team right now. Not near as bad as their record showed last year, but not as good as it was the year before.

I think a lot of it is blown up by the media. But as fans all we can really do is speculate (which can be fun at times) and sit back and watch.

Everything broke right for you guys in the playoffs in 2017.

Everything went wrong last year.

I am tempted to agree that it can't be that bad again. The problem is that Hoffman is gone, Karlsson is very likely to either be gone, or playing out the last year just waiting for a trade. Anderson is very old. Chabot is very young. Stone doesn't seem interested in being there long term and I think it would surprise no one if Duchene did not resign. Is there anything to this Tkachuk not wanting to re-sign? Your farm team is also bad.

Mostly though, it just seems like a dark cloud hanging over the whole organization and Boucher is not exactly a feel-good kind of coach.

It is tough to imagine a turn around this coming season... but *maybe* the guys in the room just say "Enough is enough" and pride makes then over-achieve people's expectations.

Long term, the organization really needs new ownership and then a complete teardown. Rebuild starts in 2020 when you have a first-round pick and hopefully a franchise guy is available.

I actually think Stone and Duchene are the opposite, Stone has been the good soldier for years and Duchene played his cards right. both are looking at long term pay days. Especially Duchene and they will get to play with the awesome young prospects we have coming.

On Sens Radio during camp they talked about the team attitude and how the mind set in the room is that they feel they can win and everyone wants to be there and is positive. So, who knows.

The rookies and prospects are very strong, Brown, White, Formenton, Chabot, Chlapik, etc.... All looking like they could be in the NHL very soon and contribute.

Karlsson is a whole different story, he keeps saying he wants to stay here and yet no contract has been signed despite a huge offer. I guess that's a wait and see thing.

Chabot got stronger and stronger last year and proved he is a top line guy.

Tkachuk - the whole not signing thing is fine. he is still locked into being a Sen unless we trade him or he holds out for years. He may just want to play at BU and develop for a year. You have to remember the pedigree in their family, they know how to build NHLers the right way, if dad says "stay down for a year". That's what he'll do and he'll be a better Sen for it.

I agree I think there is a dark cloud, but it's been a bit more positive since camp started imo.

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the summer goes.

I think the best way for future success of this team is to make sure we develop well and make some moves. I'm not to worried about the team to be honest. I put a lot of faith in our young guys and I've been very impressed with Duchene, Stone (and previously Hoffman), my concern is coaching (Although I think I'm warming up to the idea of giving him another shot) and PD, I think he is a great scout but a terrible GM.

Agree with just about everything you are saying except about PD. Not saying he's great but still needs more time before I would completely throw him overboard.

Now about you and Aetherial, would you two please get a room - I'm starting to gag.

Oh come on, us agreeing never happens. This could be a defining moment hahahaha.

I've said from the day PD was hired, he is not the guy for the job. I had the same issue with BM, he was one of my favorite coaches but never liked him as a GM.

I like GM's who are aggressive and always trying to improve the team and get something done. Neither BM or PD really did/do that. Yes I know EM keeps them on a leash but other GM's seem to have ways of getting creative with deals that PD or BM never have.

I actually thought they should have hired Ray Shero when they had the chance.

I'd only bring a prospect pro if he really had nothing left to learn from his junior organization.

Brady didn't dominate the NCAA so he should go back.

I think English isn't his first language so he is misinterpreting the chain of posts (and admittedly, I was not 100% clear in my original post that I was supporting him).

He took it way too personally though. We all get annoyed here, but he isn't going to last long if *that* set him off.
