Jersey

Go easy on me, I did this in paint so it's very simple and a bit grainy. But I think something along these lines would be awesome for a new jersey for the Sens.

I would also say use the jersey's they have until the opening of the new rink... otherwise it'll just be looked at as a cash grab.

These remind me more of lower league jerseys like ECHL, Senators at least deserve DEL league quality.

That actually makes sense, I've always liked the Binghamton Sens Jerseys from a few years ago.

I think the logo looks a bit ECHL but the actual jersey design looks a bit like Calgary

Just him starting out negotiating from a high point I would assume?

Similar to what Ceci did.

Only problem with that is that Ottawa isn't like New York or even Toronto.... We don't really have a nice skyline.

We don't have a CN tower or Empire State Building or Statue of Liberty

Maybe they could use Parliament but a lot of people right now associate Parliament with our current useless government and that isn't really a good thing. Plus it's not like that building is even that good looking.

Personally, I love the character logos.

- Maverick1818

The parliament buildings make a decent silhouette.

Something simple, like this... maybe not the color scheme or fonts, maybe with or without "Ottawa" on the logo

I actually kind of like the simple "Senators". Not a big fan of the building.

We could always just make the jersey's look like suits with a tie that says "Senators" down it hahahahahahahaha

Now that would be a statement

Just "Senators" works also. Worked for the Rangers for years

Starting point? When the team and the player are that far apart I'd say there's more than just negotiating tactics at play.
He's worth more than Karlsson?

We had the "Sens" logo'd jerseys I hated them when they first came out, but they really grew on me after.

There are so many options and little things they could do.

I just think they need to make a big change but keep something that is familiar

Sens need to trade Ceci

I don't see him progressing anything more than he is. He's a good guy and obviously being from the city....blah blah.... but how he thinks he can legit ask for 6m is beyond me

Personally I think he's worth about $3M-$3.5M but anything over that is over paying. He's likely just asking high to get around the $4M-4.2M (Which is still an over payment)

But Mark Stone....9M?

Someone else wants out of Ottawa too.

On the surface it sounds pretty outrageous... but take the Draisatl contract as a comparable. I think I would rather have Stone that Draisaitl.

I think it's just a tactic. Ask for way to much to negotiate down and get slightly over paid.

Customers do it all the time at work. Ask for to much so that they can get talked down to what they really want.

Fair deals for both

Ceci - 5 years @ 4-4.2m
Stone - 8 years @ 7.625m

I'd day that's a good deal for Stone, over payment for Ceci. I'd do that for Ceci if it was like 2-3 years. 5 years or more i'd be at the $3m mark

Given what guys like Brady Skjei and Calvin de Haan just signed, a long-term deal for Ceci will be more likely in the $4.5M-$5.0M range. I'm expecting that one to go right through arbitration, because there's no way they commit that kind of money/term when guys like Karlsson, Stone, and Duchene are up in the air.

There isn't really a great comparison for Stone... but I'm inclined to say that a maximum-term contract will still need to break into the $8.0M range.

Ya 15M to keep Stone and Ceci........Lets hope the arbitrator is a little more grounded for your sake. Yikes

That is fair. Ceci realistically looks like a #3-4 D, and low 4's is pretty reasonable for that player. Stone is worth 7.625 not only due to his success, but also to hopefully keep Douchene and others from running out of town as soon as they can. With Hoffman gone for peanuts, and Karlsson likely departing, you need something to show the remaining talent that this team can compete at some level.

Bad team
Terrible owner
Lousy game atmosphere (i know I live here)
Arena that is way way out of town
Exorbitant ticket prices, same with parking
And oh yeah the ugliest jerseys all around..not just one ....all of them, ugly ugly ugly
Simply bad organization from top to bottom.

Yeah, they're pretty bad.
Others in the league are bad as well.....but Ottawa, hmmmm not good.
Definetely not the cool jersey you want to buy.

All personal preference. My son got a red Karlsson last year and I like it. I liked the red "0" they did as well. I have always loved Oilers jerseys but that orange crush one is worse than ours for sure.
