Unless my math is wrong here, the Pens are jammed at LD. I threw Ruhwedel in there, but he’s the 7th dman.

I get where you’re coming from, but your talking about quality and where they should play , I’m talking about strict amount of LDs on this roster.

EDIT: I completely agree with you on JJ and Oleksiak, but from everything I’ve read in the media the Pens seem to feel differently.

Don't feel thats the case, you have 2 LD, and 2 RD who are both higher in salary and playing some pretty good puck. I think Oleksiak was a great signing tho, huge kid that can play mean. JJ was a suprise to me. The term makes me cringe, but gotta respect the way the vet is paying off his parents debts. Hopefully he will be left with a few bucks for retirement when all is said and done.

Way better center-depth and a little veterdad-here&there, improved 4th-line, lighter schedule with nearly same defense... i like our chances for the start of the season (then injuries will dictate like always anyways).

But wtf is happening with this blog? all I see are numbers thrown around, people whining at eachother and Rino, Boyd and Feds creating some kind of trifecta that will always push down other people who have opinions that they don't agree with and have eachothers backs likes some group of bullies. Now do you actually understand what I'm actually saying or do I need to put it down in words per 60?

In regards to the PP stats for the Oil, I really don't know why you put them down. I only referred to them because they are so low, along with other teams scoring on the PP as a comparison to how different & sparse the man advantage can prove to be. How many of those games produced zero production on the PP - that is what would interest me.

Given that Karlsson plays the right, the obvious move would be Schultz. I think Maatta has the far superior contract and is the better player anyways.

Yes good call. The team wasn't far from another Cup last season, & if anything it's probably a stronger team on paper & definately more rested. I'm looking forward to seeing how the team develops - also curious to see how Brassard goes. Johnson is going to be an interesting case. Defence will be well discussed in here I'm betting! Really hoping Tanger gets in a groove & rips it apart with a Norris win!
