I remember you most for giving up on the team before every difficult game in recent years... which you somehow forgot after the two championships.

As Vic would say, "that's his brand". (he doesn't really give up, Horny would kick his nuts)

I havn't been on here alot as of late cuz not much interesting is happening atm. But wtf is happening with this blog? all I see are numbers thrown around, people whining at eachother and Rino, Boyd and Feds creating some kind of trifecta that will always push down other people who have opinions that they don't agree with and have eachothers backs likes some group of bullies. It may not be what they strive for and mean to do ofc but it kinda looks like that. we need a new scape goat and more "SID SUCKS!"

I've been coming to this site since 2006. I read and dont comment much but holy poop, I'm a conservative who's a big Trump guy. I'd rather see people bash on him for everything other than see these guys keep crying about numbers. The damn Aussie was just trying to beat a dead horse. That's all. Can we go back to hating Jagr?

Yes good call. The team wasn't far from another Cup last season, & if anything it's probably a stronger team on paper & definately more rested. I'm looking forward to seeing how the team develops - also curious to see how Brassard goes. Johnson is going to be an interesting case. Defence will be well discussed in here I'm betting! Really hoping Tanger gets in a groove & rips it apart with a Norris win!
- Aussiepenguin

For some reason I dont see Brassard making the team. I feel like its the Staal situation all over again. Is he a net front presence? I feel like someone needs to take over that role on Malkins line.

Well the talk is he will be playing wing at some stage - not sure when that will be. Do they play him pre season on the wing & go from there, or play him 3C & try & get the combinations going to start the season well? Complete reversal from last seasons start where we had 2 NHL C.

I'm hoping they won't (frank) around too much early, make the hard decisions early (with Sheahan & Brassard - both can play 3C), then wait for either injury (hope not), or bad results (hope not x2), to tinker with Brassard etc.

Brassard has a contract year, and already publicly stated he wants more ice-time... be sure he will be way more productive than we have seen last season.

I have never given up on the team I come with my in the heat of the moment comments and for fun sid hate comments though. I am a extremly heated person when it comes to games. so if they play bad I will call them out on it. but those comments don't reflect how I feel for the team as a whole as they are just heat of the moment comments that have no real meaning behind them. I have been more concentrated on Barcelona Soccer since around May so that is why I havn't been around so much. I don't even have an opinion on JJ. I say give him time and a chance. anything can happen in sports.

Go Pens!

I actually like jagr xD he is the reason why I started to follow the pens. same with Forsberg being the reason I used to like the avs (still do like them a little).

, i'm also open what he can bring to the table.

But something different: I read a lot about girls/women going crazy in #metoo-Sweden and you now have to sign a [entrylevel-]contract before going out with one? Oh boy, what happenend to his our beloved [Western] world...

I think he was getting going just before he got injured before the playoffs wasn't he?

Hes a good player no doubt, but I doubt he resigns for the Pens playing 3C & no PP (or at least top PP - less time to score ).

Then Sheahan playing 4C? Doubt if he has another good season he wants to stay 4C especially thinking the Pens will probably want to low ball him. Hopefully he gets a shot at 3C plays well & voila, becomes our permanent 3C after another cup win.

Dude, when I was young the avs with Forsberg and sakic were my team to watch other than the Pens of course. What a great team that was. Tons of talent.

Yes, i think it was always a two-playoff (and one+ season) 3C-project.

Why would you do that? Hala Madrid. Not happy about Zizou leaving but when there's a boss micro managing his coach & playing roster, I understand why he left. Then Ronaldo to Juve?? It's all changing - the balance of power in Spain. Athletico might be Barcas rival for the title.

I like Maatta. I wish they would play him with Schultz more as the 2nd pairing.

Feminism and Racism is (frank)ed up in Sweden. also the whole thing about Metoo is a consequences of how the government determines sexual assult and Rape. actually every report of sexual assult is put in category of "rape"(even gently touching a woman with a finger on her shoulder or something is reportable). which is the main reason why Sweden has so extremly high numbers of reported rape. cuz they see it diffrently from other countries. it is a really weak mentality. I can understand the racism in the country since there is alot of immigrants that have come here and only cause trouble and get free money from tax payers money. but I don't condone it. Feminsm is a (frank)ing joke though. Women are so weak and feel like they are Morally and legally obligated to get better pay and jobs than men cuz they are woman.

I agree. It's funny to me how people have reacted towards Maatta. He had two pretty rough seasons and everyone was cutting him slack and repeatedly saying just wait until he has a full healthy season.

Well, he had a full healthy season and was pretty darn good, yet now many are ready to move on from him. I was one of his detractors and I really hope he stays with the Pens unless it's just a deal they can't pass up.

Or if Johnson didn't play at all?

I have a few concerns:

1) They try JJ in a top four role, he falters and they keep him there anyway to prove some kind of point.

2) He is paired with Oleksiak in the 3rd pair putting Oleksiak out of his natural position where he's shown to be weaker.

Apart from it having zero to do with hockey or what we were discussing, where can I get a 14% return on 10k? Or are you hypothesising? Didn't your mate the other day scream & shout about dumb hypothesising?

Over here I'd be lucky to get a 5% return on 10k.

Please, don't reply any more. I'm going to follow that 'protocol'.

- Aussiepenguin

lol wut

5% is childs play. Easily get that on average from a large cap stock fund.
