I havn't been on here alot as of late cuz not much interesting is happening atm. But wtf is happening with this blog? all I see are numbers thrown around, people whining at eachother and Rino, Boyd and Feds creating some kind of trifecta that will always push down other people who have opinions that they don't agree with and have eachothers backs likes some group of bullies. It may not be what they strive for and mean to do ofc but it kinda looks like that. we need a new scape goat and more "SID SUCKS!" - martox
It sure does look like it hahah

I'm glad to know there is love for maatta on this board after all. - Thrill81
You'll find a big fan of the simplicity and effectiveness how Määttä play in me. I happen to think he plays well with pretty much anyone on the team. |

It's not fun to hear all the bashing on how Jack Johnson and Jamie Oleksiak shouldn't ever play top 4 or the less they play the better. I hope they prove you all wrong. Give them a F'n chance. |

I just think the less ice time for Johnson and Oleksiak the better. - j.boyd919
Oleksiak is a weird one. I mean he had potential to be a top 4, but at this stage, I feel being the 6 foot 7 bottom pairing guy is kind of his limit. |

I agree. It's funny to me how people have reacted towards Maatta. He had two pretty rough seasons and everyone was cutting him slack and repeatedly saying just wait until he has a full healthy season.
Well, he had a full healthy season and was pretty darn good, yet now many are ready to move on from him. I was one of his detractors and I really hope he stays with the Pens unless it's just a deal they can't pass up. - Rinosaur
I loved watching Maatta his rookie season, but yeah I agree. He isn't too flashy and he doesn't have size which is why I think pittsburgh fans tend to underrate him and want him moved, but the guy is solid. |

I'm pleasantly surprised. Maybe Wilson's Maatta +assets for trouba had me figure most pens fans didn't like Maatta. Daley seemed to be the only guy Maatta didn't look good with and even then, they weren't terrible, especially compared to the days of having an aging orpik and scuderi on the roster. |

I think having a full healthy season with this team could change his perspective. - Rinosaur
Hopefully for him, as he surely wants term+money... and he will be already forward-dangerous 31 when 2019-20 starts...
Feminsm is a (frank)ing joke though. Women are so weak and feel like they are Morally and legally obligated to get better pay and jobs than men cuz they are woman. - martox
... just watch tennis, already in the second set one of them is completely done, where men hardly sweat! This is especially noteworthy as women-muscles are more build for endurance-performance than men! They complain earning 10% less (ok, what hard-working men has time for twitter hours a day?), but noone in the office really notices too much dump in productivity when they are ill for weeks again!? HAHA.
And do you know the difference between a hockey player and a feminist? The hockey player showers after 3 periods. |

I'm hoping the big O can become a top 4 Dman. With the help of the Dman whisperer, I think he might just have a good year. |

Hopefully Oleksiak keeps getting a little better because now we are paying him more. As long as he's a super solid 5 guy/fill in second pair guy im good with him. He might have some trouble though with who he's playing with but we shall see. |

If he does that would be great, definitely pulling for big rig. I want him to use that cannon more often. |

How about Skinner to Buffalo? Didn't see those two trading with each other. |

Really makes me wonder what Buffalo is doing. The fact that he was only had for a 2nd, 3rd, and 6th, and a prospect makes me wonder if the pens could have had him for cheap. The cap would have been hard to work with though. |

Plus, the Pens don't have the draft picks to give up, Skinner is a UFA after this season, so Sabres need to sign him and he has had concussion issues. To me, not worth the risk on the Pens part. |

Exactly we don't NEED to take that risk. We could use a skilled LW but not at that price for a UFA. |

Agreed. The Pens shouldn't add another player that can walk for nothing. We're already gonna lose Brassard after this season. Plus, the obvious prospect would have been Sprong.
Buffalo has to extend him for this to make sense for them 'cause they're not contenders this season. |

I wouldn't have wanted Skinner either, but I really thought he'd have gone for more on the market. The Karlsson deal supposedly isn't enough for Ottawa either. With the returns I'm seeing, it certainly makes me think Rutherford could make some moves. However I'm happy with the roster we have, just kind of anxious on how it'll be used. |
