Watching him with the puck, skating and the vision reminds me of Niedermeyer |

Beagle is the 40th oldest active forward in the league and he's 32. I can't remember exactly but basing it off the players older than him and expected retirements, he'll probably be the 25th-ish oldest player in the league by game 1 of year 2 on that contract.
He's a 4th liner so he doesn't exactly have a high peak to fall from. - Lindenis#1

Your mix of pluralisms and singular is confusing so I'll read this as you agreeing with me that Hughes is Bobby Orr. |

No. Maybe $8m tops but $7.5m is solid |

Sbisa was so good he's still a UFA
He was (frank)ing terrible and his contract was dog poop the second they signed it. - Lindenis#1
Its not that he was so good... his contract just doesnt seem to be a fit
on a list of problem contracts for both teams who paid him. I explained why and you flip what I'm saying.
Poor value and problem contracts are two different things. Like I said, he played 2/3 of a 3 year contract and was taken off our hands... not much of a problem and no problem in Vegas either. His current status has (frank) all to do with what I said. You know very well we are talking about his past contract.

From all my experience working in PR/marking, this is a classic firing but you're trying to gloss it over for stakeholder confidence hoping most people are too dumb to recognize it.
I'd expect he's getting his contract at around 80% to full value depending on term remaining. - Lindenis#1
It seems that way. People seem to forget what hockey firings look like. |

Hughes said today , he will sign this year soon as his season is over, - VANTEL
I like hearing that. I want to hear Jack say that he is going to sign here right after he's done his full college commitment. Glad we have his "big" brother

This is a good article on Benning and Linden .
I agree with some of the points including Aquilini being pissed that after 4 years this is where they are.
Touches on if Canucks were pushing for playoffs they would have signed Neal not Beagle. |

I saw a debate about Tavares 11 million vs Stone at 9 million and Stone had better PPG, possession numbers, take aways, etc. Although I didn't go look to confirm that. |

He obviously wants out of Ottawa or he has said the Arbitrator has been awarding right down the middle and wants 7 mil per |

Linden is my boy, always been a fan, but I highly doubt Benning did anything other than follow orders. Which, I imagine, is Linden's beef. He probably felt that anything FA asked of Benning that shouldve gone though Trevor, shouldve been reported to Trevor..... |

I think there was a thing going on between TL and FA and Benning was caught in the middle. He doesn't seem like the type to back stab . I think the owner went up to JB and said you are dealing with me now . What do you do if that happens?
I also think Aquilini has the right to tell them to go Fak yourself we are not starting a rebuild now, what have you been doing for the last 4 years. I would be pissed as an owner if the club is now looking to rebuild after being that bad for 4 years. |

Benning sounds like a lying, two-faced, 'who me' in this article. He comes across like he's clueless as to what's going on within the ownership / management dynamics |
