Exactly. Hoping he is this team’s version of the Cookie Monster. |

It’s certainly somewhat faster with Skinner, Sheary and Dahlin. But Sabotka, Berglund and Thompson don’t add much to the speed department. - PrinceChill
Botterill talked of speed on the wing. The addition of Skinner obviously gives a speed boost, but the other effect is that it pushes Erod (probably) to a 3LW spot with Berglund in the middle.
So speed wise, you're looking at a 1-2-3 punch of Skinner, Sheary and ERod on the left.
Who knows whether Skinner goes with Eichel or Mitts, but the speed benefit down the lineup is nice.
Went from a terrible left side to a pretty nice one |

Somebody forward the EK thread where he called this trade. I don't remember seeing it....
Botts is delivering on what he said he was going to do:
1) changing up the core - re: ROR, Kane and Lehner gone
2) more speed
3) great drafts (with some luck thrown in)
4) a good UFA goalie signing
If he can somehow shed one of our legacy contracts (Bogo comes to mind), it would be a 10 out of 10 summer. As it sits now, about 9.5.
Oh and we still have 3 1st rounders next year (conditionally)! |

I'd be fine if they just shed some bottom-6/bottom pairing guys. Girgs, larsson, Beaulieu, Bailey, etc. Too many names for too few spots as it stands |

What an awesome trade. He’s got to be playing with Eichel. Bring on 40. Come on. |
