Farabee should have had an assist on the first goal...He played very well today. Forced a lot of turnovers, played a lot with Jack Hughes. He seems to remind me as a good as a complementary player on a top6 line, but maybe because he was playing with Hughes.
Cates looks pretty good, too. Strong on the puck, had a few scoring chances, not A quality ones, but decent work. He got more ice time than O'brien.
Obrien was ok, imo. Looked very good at times, almost invisible others. I read that a lot were impressed, to me he was just okay. More consistency in his game would have been nice to see, but I can imagine this is all new to him hes making a lot of adjustments. Looking forward to his development path.
Lycksell showed some smooth skating and a nice flick pass on his assist. Pretty fluid skater in general. Had a good game.
Ginning was ok. Hes very long, 6'4", but seems much taller. Jack Hughes exposed him once, but went okay. Lack of puck skills stick out.
Berggren, Quinn /Jack Hughes were sick. - VladDrag
I think people were excited to see his speed. I wanted to see him with the puck more, but he was playing the wing.
IIRC Farabee lost coverage on the third GA. He is really good though. If he gets bigger too...oh man...that would be fantastic.
Love that after Hughes got around Ginning he just crushes him after the play and gets a penalty.

I liked Skyrim but it was a soulless experience. Original Dragon Age is good but they don’t make games like that anymore.
Too much open world that is littered with icons on a map. The latest Zelda game got it just right. Organic open world.
Overall most games are sub par. Nier Automata was excellent and the first party games for Switch are great. Haven’t tried God of War yet but it’s on my list. - StepfordSam
Skyrim is the greatest game that ever was/will be made. I consider all of your opinions null and void from this point forward. |

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for O'Brien, but I really wanted Berggren. |

Unrelated, but me and the boy had our first viewing of Top Gun last night (he's only 6 months old, but I think he got the gist of it) and this morning, I just heard that they're making a sequel (which is apparently old news). Totally made my day. |

Yeah, being a hulking barbarian walking around in an arctic tundra fighting trolls and dragons with battleaxes and broadswords is totally gay. |

Almost done the USA Sweden game. Few thoughts.
Farabee- he was by far the most disruptive player making plays to turn over pucks at the offensive blue line and neutral zone. Tremendous player in all zones. Very apparent why they want him with Hughes he springs him once he turns it over. Really like his game
O’Brien- not sure if it’s nerves or what but handling the puck like a grenade in this game. Had it taken away from him fairly easy tonight. Good skater. Good change of pace. Dogged on the puck. I see why they like him.
Lycksell- solid looking player. Nice assist skating it all the way down the wing showing off the speed and centering it for a goal. Not flashy but no deficiencies stand out...heady player
Ginning- yikes....just yikes. Big? Yup big
Cates- good size, good speed and agility. Made a few plays out there controlling the puck on the forecheck. I like his arsenal and hopefully just scratching the surface. |

Yeah, Farabee lost coverage, but I don't know if he should have been covering him, at the very least communication was terrible. He was backchecking in the middle of the ice, and was told to move from the middle of the ice to pick up a check on the right wing. He had to cover a lot of ice to get there. He did however, stop moving his feet at the exact wrong time (when the pass was made).

An outlier for him in the game. He has tremendous anticipation to stop opposing teams breaking out before they hit their blue line.
And Quinn Hughes is just wow. Wow wow. Who was it Detroit that got him? F em.
The Hughes brothers identifying with USA hockey are going to be a thing for a loooong time |

YEah, The Hughes' were amazing. As was Berggen. All of a sudden he's got the puck, moving at full speed down the ice, or pops out from behind the net for a scoring chance, or makes a sneaky pass. He was fun to watch. Detroit got both Zadina and Breggen.
Lundestrom was decent, too (I always liked him). I know he scored a goal, but I don't know what his offensive output is going to be if he makes the NHL. I think it will depend on his linemates. |
