Each game, except game 4, was a one goal game. If the Flyers had both a healthy Parent and MacLeish, they perhaps win that series. It would have been tough, the 75-76 Habs team was loaded, but so were the Flyers. However, they had no prayer without Parent and MacLeish. It’s a testament to how hard that team worked and how dominant the LCB line was that Spring that it was as close as it was. - BiggE
Agreed. At that point they were evenly matched despite the 4-0 outcome. The Flyers were trending a down for a couple seasons before a couple waves of young players carried them through the 80s. Montreal was loaded in the late 70s, no doubt about it. |

I always liked reading his posts. As I've said before, I'm relatively young (31), and when I joined I basically just read what everyone posted for the first 2 years or so.
His points were always well organized and articulated. - VladDrag
He and I had a great time arguing hockey then. No insults, no hard feelings, just a great back and forth |

Can anyone explain to me why others seem to think the Flyers are in the Buffalo range of teams in the NHL. I would love to hear your take Bill.
"4. Couturier - here's the love for the Flyers - he's the most well-rounded centre in the east and takes all the toughs and is paid a fraction of his value. Why are the Flyers still so lame then?" - Peter Tessier
I know the season was disappointing to most Flyer fans, especially the oust in the 1st round and they are far from a powerhouse team, but really?
3rd in the division in a pretty tough Metro, a season most other teams would call a success and the Flyers are still lame? - Glak18
Yes, there's a large gap between Buffalo and Philly going back to the last lockout.

Hagg's deal is perfectly fine.
He's a 23 YO defenseman with 70 some NHL games. I'm not quite ready to declare he's a bust or he is what he was last year or whatever.
Let's see him with some different partners in the mix. - johndewar

2-0 swedes...I think Cates was on the ice there but had nothing to do with it. Kind of a crazy bounce |

Extremely odd. He repeatedly brought it up even though I was clueless. I did think he was trolling at one point, but this other account that was gifted to him did exist when i searched it. But yeah he hasn't posted since I told him to share these messages - arichardson22
It was brought up because you kept repeating “Here we go”
Anyway, as it turns out you can’t recover an account without the email attached to it. If the person who gifted the account to someone else with the password and never an email, you cannot recover the password without the email address.
If I have you confused with someone else, I apologize. |

Off topic but I'm interested to see if Brady Tkachuk signs in Ottawa or not. How nice would it be to watch Tkachuk and Farabee play a year together in BU? - mayorofangrytown

Hagg did get significant 5on5 ice time with three partners last season. He had poor possession numbers with all of them, but good Goals for/against numbers with Ghost and Provy.
MacDonald - 455:55 TOI, 45.22 CF%, 45.71 GF%
Ghost - 288:13, 45.4 CF%, 65 GF%
Provorov - 233:40, 46.49 CF%, 54.55 GF%

It seems unlikely that he'll play much with Gudas or Sanheim going forward, but maybe Myers would be a good partner for him later on. |

Seems like gamers say yes and casuals say no. The next question would be "Are you a gamer or a casual?". |

I played a few hours of TW3 and decided I didn't want to make the 80+ hour commitment to finishing it, so I took it back to Gamestop. |

After that year my dad gave up his season tickets. The end of that series was sad on may levels. |
