Right now? Cause Stone's career isn't over.

Why are we comparing them now?

Well, of course not. You made a blanket statement, so I responded with the goals per game percentage, which is the only way to judge it.

Although last three years Stone was 23, 22, 20 in 204 games

Nash was 15, 23, 21 in 198 games

Not that much of a difference, but its a no brainer you would take Stone because of the age.

Cause there is nothing else to talk about. And I like arguing with Tom about his hate boner for Nash.

Speaking of which, who's going to be the poster with the Stone Bone to sign him next year?

Amazing he was a 6th round pick.

The interesting thing about free agency is that it seems difficult to get good centers and top line dmen, but you can almost always find wings. Maybe not every year but in any 2 year cycle, I think you can grab legit top 6 guys for decent $/term, especially compared to the overpay centers would get.

Yeah, JT was an exception this year. Its why I think there is no way Seguin hits the market

What were the club and player asks on that one?

It's actually interesting when one of these actually gets to a hearing and award these days.

I'm not going to bother looking up stats, but Helm's deal can't be THAT bad at less than $4M/yr.

Its not good. He's hot an oddly worded NTC and has never exceeded 40 points.

Brouwer get bought out yet? He could be a nice 4th line addition on a 1-2 year deal.

I kind of view Helm and Hagelin in the same type of category. Not huge point guys but have other skill sets that make them valuable. I think Hagelin is better don't get me wrong, but it's close. I don't necessarily think Helm's contract is good, but I don't think it's that bad either.

I’d prefer Brouwer over McLeod, but being that we signed McLeod already........
