I’d prefer Brouwer over McLeod, but being that we signed McLeod already........
- nyrangers9479

I think Brouwer is a player who will get a camp invite from someone, PTO

interesting stat

in 21 playoff games vs the Rangers from 2012-2015, Brouwer had 1 goal and 3 assists

but he's somehow known as a playoff player

Will leave the blog up a bit longer, as not a ton to discuss these days. Working on the third line blog, reviewing data to get the right listings for each position. Pretty close vote for the second team, second line center between Weight and Stepan as well as second team, second line combination between the Young Americans and Czechmates.

I debated whether or not i should list him there. But when Richards was in New York, Stepan was the second line center. That's what landed him on this list.

when the Rangers made the finals both Richards and Brassard made more money than Stepan

the way BR played AND how AV played him, pissed me off hugely

imo reason #1 why we lost...

...and if Slats wouldn't lowball him on that bridge deal, he would probably have signed a ~7 year 5M per deal instead...

he wouldn't have been given more than McDonagh got that summer

Stepan just wanted to be treated equally as his buddy was, should have been a pair of 4.65 mil a year contracts.

(1) EK is starting the Karlsson rumors again, due to the Stone and Ceci matters taken care of for now. But the Tampa blogger in Sam Hitchcock has it well ironed out as to why Karlsson is a bad fit for them to especially acquire, as well as for other teams, due to his past foot injuries that could catch up with him in his 30's, when many d'men start losing their wheels. In addition, he feels the Lightning would actually shorten their window of Cup winning potential if acquiring and having to pay Karlsson what he will demand in term.

(2) With Gibson at age 25 extended yesterday by the Ducks at a $6.4M AAV for 8 years, can we stop the nonsense that "Hank didn't take a discount for his team" on his second lengthy & still current 7 year, $8.5M AAV deal he signed on Dec. 4, 2013? Maybe "NOW" roster wise, the 7 years term length given him at 31 with a full NMC, appears it should have been just a 5 years term. But back then, Hank was, & still is the franchise, with his prior 6 year deal through June, 2014 being at a $6.875M AAV. He was also ranked then as a top 10 overall NHL'er, plus the NHL's best in net, despite both Rinne and Rask initially having higher cap hits of $7M each.

Compare the two's career stats at the time each signed their current deals:
REGULAR SEASON:
Gibson: 178 Games Pl. (93-55-20), GAA 2.29, (.923 SV%), 16 SO's
Hank thru 12/3/13: 531 Games Pl. (284-182-57) (2.26) (.920 SV%), 47 SO's
POSTSEASON:
Gibson: 26 Games Played (26 Starts), (11-13), GAA 2.80, (.912 SV%), 1 SO
Hank 2006-'13 P.S.: 67 Gm Pl (67 ST), (30-37), GAA 2.28 (.920 SV%), 8 SO's
(Rangers failed to reach the 2010 Postseason in Hank's first 8 years above.)

Yeah, you're wrong. No shocker there. This is Gibson's 3rd contract, compared to Lundqvist's 4th.

For no reason at all, I felt like checking BR's and Step's stats for those 3 years:
http://www.nhl.com/stats/...sort=points,goals,assists
Amazed to find it's almost identical. The ol' +/- was weird though, Step with +51 and BR with -1. Who said that stat was a waste...

It's an illiterate one in specifically only you on this blog site, "TANKER", who cannot read & comprehend properly what was written by someone else, no matter how perfectly & clearly mentioned their thoughts were written.

1) I NEVER MENTIONED AT ALL HOW MANY NHL CONTRACTS GIBSON HAS SIGNED IN MY COMMENT. (So how was I "WRONG" in stating what you claimed, that I mentioned the incorrect number of contracts Gibson had signed, when I never even mentioned that matter at all in the first place???)
2) I ALSO DID NOT WRITE THERE THAT THE MOST CURRENT OF HANK'S NHL CONTRACTS WAS ONLY HIS "2ND NHL CONTRACT" HE HAD SIGNED IN THAT COMMENT EITHER.
I mentioned that this was "HANK'S 2ND LENGTHY & STILL CURRENT 7 YEAR $8.5M AAV DEAL HE SIGNED ON DEC. 4TH, 2013".

The words, "HANK'S 2ND LENGTHY" I used there, signifies HANK'S SECOND NHL CONTRACT OF A GREATER LENGTH IN YEARS TERM, which he signed on 12/4/13, after HIS 1ST ONE OF A GREAT LENGTH IN A 6 YEARS TERM AT A $6.875M AAV, WOULD HAVE EXPIRED ON JUNE 30, 2014. That was for purposes of comparing the value of the two goalies LENGTHY YEARS CONTRACTS at the time they were signed, according to what they had delivered prior to earn them, (meaning GOAL TENDING QUALITY AND RESULTS WISE, for specifically ONLY YOU, TANKER, on this blog site).

If you have a different opinion than another, that's fine, Tanker. But you keep on finding someone daily here to pick on WRONGLY SO, in trying to misconstrue WRONGLY SO what they initially mentioned CORRECTLY in words. That will really get you very far in life to becoming what you act like here as being lost in space in more ways than one, to put it in the kindest words for others as well.

I mean Gibson's deal is in line with Lundqvist 3rd deal. And Lundqvist didn't take a hometown discount. He wanted ti be paid like the best goalie in the world and the MVP of the team. They end. Chalk one up on the wrong side for yourself, Saver.

You are a (frank)ing moron. I honestly don't know why you even bother coming around. I swear you must be a troll account, but there is no way someone would put this much effort into trolling.

Please do take your incoherent babbling to some other teams blog. I'm sure they will be glad to have you.

Blah blah black sheep!!!! You always keep saying how "your done here" and "That's it, I'm gone" yet you still waste space here by posting your retarded babble, still with grammatical mistakes littered ALL over the place. Just leave already!

Calling you a retard is too nice & an insult to retarded people. You sound like a 10 year old rambling incoherently. Just put the gun in your mouth and squeeze the trigger. Even your own Mother wouldn't miss you.
