i can't really comprehend how you can really separate any party from the triumvirate of stupidity.

the re-tool on the fly was full on stupidity and there were a lot of voices saying so at the time to the all the justifiers.

Not that I care about Linden getting fired, he's been part of the problem, but Benning not having any knowledge whatsoever, according to him, is a complete fallacy.

Linden is obviously not happy with him, so Benning can play dumb all he wants, he's good at it, but clearly there was some sort of background dynamics going on that's fractured the group.

This is obviously a divisive issue amongst fans and some of the media. Sorry Makita, about us commenting on speculation & rumours but presidents don't just quit suddenly with a short press release and zero interviews from anyone remotely involved. I think it has a lot more to do with a difference of opinion and someone storming off in a huffy fit or the media making a mountain out of a molehill.

I'm sure Trevor had a plan, Benning has a plan and ownership has their plan...plus the coach. At one particular time there was word that all 4 weren't seeing eye/eye. Now we don't REALLY know if that was ever the case but there had to be some truth to it.

I'm sure Linden did see a few things coming as do the others mentioned. But trying to get them all to 'agree' on 'the plan' lol...that's another thing altogether.

There will always be back door bullsh!t at the highest levels...can't get around it.

For me it's the timing. I wasn't a Linden detractor like many here as I thought his role was pretty minor, but the timing of this just sucks for the club. We were finally getting excited about having one of the highest prospect ratings in the league and now we are joining the Habs and Sens Circus lol

Linden had a minor role but didn't want 45 year old 4th lines with NTC signed. Bening asked aquamanwho said yes on the pretense that they where players you could win with, in the playoffs. Linden said (frank) this I'm the president, aquaman,like Donald, said you're fired.

No worries my friend, the majority here can all align themselves to the negative Nelly perspective, and this site was created for rumours and speculative comments.

All I am doing with my comments is voicing my own thoughts 25% of the time and then 75% of the time throwing out ludicrous comments because a) I read it somewhere and really liked the comment and how it can agitate certain posters (ie. Benning is a genius)
b) some posters become a little too caught up in their own narrative that a little subtle levity is required..(ie. Benning is an idiot, Benning is ruining the rebuild, Trevor is a lame duck Pres.)
