I am happy you liked them .

I didn't enjoy their stay as much as most of you. That is well documented and doesn't need 15 pages of replies .

I’d rather look at what was surrounding the twins. The farm had nothing to help in the later years. Cup runs sure but sustainability was pathetic insert Stevie Y.

Why?

Benning said today I don't get involved with politics . I have enough trouble finding Dmen to play on the PP ( That is troubling) (Not something you should openly admit as a GM trying to rebuild a team)

Next

If we were trying to make the playoffs I would have signed Neal not Beagle. ( Beagle must feel very good hearing that and are you saying Beagle isn't very good ?Then why did you sign him?)

Benning is a dummy make no mistake about it .

we've been looking for a PP QB for years. It's not a secret.

I'm pretty sure Beagle knows he's not a perennial 20 goal scorer either.

Haha he’s not the best but he sure isn’t the worst. He’s made some moves, won some, lost some but nothing super poop that screws us for a long time. In 2-4 years we’ll be back in the mix.

He has a Cup ring so he and Beagle can stand in the middle of the dressing room and the other players can gawk at them, because apparently young players need to be taught about the importance of winning. None of them really thought about it before...

Horvat to Petterson: So, what is winning?
Petterson: Gee, I don't know. If only they overpaid some old guys to tell us while we dragged their sorry asses around the ice.
Horvat: Word.

You can never have enough good centers. Elias played a ton of wing on Vaxjo as well. If we ever landed Jack it would be a huge win for our organization imo

Even if its not Jack as long as its an elite talent that does the heavy lifting.

Fewer & fewer teams mortgage the farm for cup runs. The Pens have 2 superstar C’s with a closing window so they are more unique. The Hawks fight a cap crunch yearly after cup run contract payouts. Bowman wasn’t very wise not handling it better & talking to his stars about hometown discounts are needed to keep it going. LAK fight father time. Lol Ducks are getting old fast.

TBL & the Jets are strong teams & very deep on the farm. Other teams are similar as more join the fray. Most teams struggle to make the PO’s or contend as we know.

Our situation sucks but the future is bright. Still we need to continue to draft well & its C’s & D’s that there is never enough of. Being in the top 1/3rd of the league or better on prospect depth has to be the plan forever.

On JB...

I’m more than satisfied with his drafting.
His contracts are good as well. Term & $$$ look very good. UFA contracts are what they are but no burden holding us back in the big picture nor the future.
Trading is mediocre but no major screw ups eg Duchene to the Sens. Overall some questionable draft picks traded out but gets overblown.
The cap is in great shape & going forward.
When the kids are promoted on ELC’s it gets even better. The prospect depth needs more D for sure & C’s are never a bad thing to keep healthy competition thriving. Allows for trading out good assets to keep greasing the wheels. Turnover if prospects force their way onto the team 👍👍

I really question the Canes on the Skinner deal. Makes me wonder what it takes to get RHD Faulk?

my 2 cents on Linden;

I wondered why Linden wasn't seen at the draft. How is it that the team president wasn't on hand for the 7oa pick?
Maybe he wasn't wanted there? Perhaps he wasn't on board with the direction taken on drafting?

I doubt JB had anything to do with lindens departure but I would not doubt that FA fingered JB in delivering the news to linden

He was there, sitting at the same table as everyone else.
