I wondered why Linden wasn't seen at the draft. How is it that the team president wasn't on hand for the 7oa pick?
Maybe he wasn't wanted there? Perhaps he wasn't on board with the direction taken on drafting?

I doubt JB had anything to do with lindens departure but I would not doubt that FA fingered JB in delivering the news to linden

There is a reason they wanted skinner gone. also how does this apply when one team doesn’t receive a player?

On drafting wingers its the least important position for me. Its all about sniping & elite skills that translates into the NHL as a 1st liner or i pass. C & D get my nod all of the time unless a winger is special. I think that of Wahlstrom but i might be wrong. Top 6 wingers can emerge from anywhere IMO.

Well i thought Zadina would slide & he did. I also thought he & Hughes would be gone.
Was certain the Habs were picking Kotkaniemi & thought that was need but should’ve traded down. I wasn’t in on the Bouchard or Dobson hype which left Boqvist & Wahlstrom left to us. Wahlstrom was my guy although i didn't want a winger so i suggested trading down & get a sweetener & take BPA RHD leftover. That would satisfy me & justify either who was left to us. Once Hughes slid it all became moot.

It's funny I saw the trade news and thought pretty good on Carolina getting what Skinner was worth while he still has good value. Then I read comments and replies on twitter and everyone is saying Carolina got hosed

I don't get it. I think it's a perfectly fine deal for the Hurricanes
