I am safe in assuming that you are not a fan of Girgenson? The boys on the Instigators said that he is having a great summer working with Matt Ellis at Harbor Center getting his game back in order. I prefer to keep him a little longer, he is still young and he does things well that would serve him in a bottom 6 role.

I don’t hate Girgensons
I’d be ok if we kept him
I just wanna see Bailey & Baptiste get to play

Would love to see the return of the Latvian locomotive. If he can skate and get 10 to 15 goals in a bottom 6 roll and occasionally fights when needed. I'm all for it. He can't just disappear for 40 games.

Hes had 7 goals a year for 3 years over 2 coaches. Played with Eichel. This is most likely it frrom a goalscoring perspective

bogo for RNH.. right..
- IndianaSabresFan

Given the return Skinner got. If RNH has an NMC, from what I understand, Bogo would be the best they could hope for.

Seriously though.

What we really need now...we need a 3 for 1 trade. 3 contracts out, 1 in. Doesn't matter if they're separate deals.

Think you can get any pick for Larsson or Beaulieau?

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

We got the big changes you wanted
The way i see it...
-basically swapped Kane & O’Reilly for Skinner & Mittelstadt. That’s even-ish
-added legitimate depth with Sheary, Berglund & Sobatka
-and can’t possibly get worse goaltending than last season
-plus Dahlin

Safe to say we will be better
Idk how much though?
I’d say we are in the mix for a Wild Card spot right now

Wait for trading camp injuries and probably a 6th for Beaulieu.

I find it incredibly hard to believe that anyone wants Larsson and his 4 goals in 82 games

Girgensons probably a 4th or 5th.

Seems fair. Would like to get something, even if it's another lottery pick. I'll trade Larsson for another Glotov.

I agree with J crag that we could get a little better return for Girgs

Or maybe we package one of these guys with McCabe or Scandella?
We are loaded with LH defense
Both on the roster, and in the system

Makes sense. Was thinking the purge would happen a bit before training camp, but perhaps that's the prudent course.

Someone traded for Mike Weber anything is possible.

Girgs getting a 4th in return feels too good to be true, and it aint even that good, but I think he could actually benefit from a change of scenery. Hopefully we can make it work. Need a little cap and a few contracts, we're ready.

That's what I'm hoping for. Girgs + Scandella should get you something worth while and it would clear cap and contracts. No idea what that return would be exactly, but a 4-5RHD? Scandella is a solid 4-5 so with Girgs and maybe a mid rounder???

I’d guess the goal would be to get a top4
RH defenseman
Maybe we add in a prospect if it helps us get a better player?

My prediction:

Goaltending alone gets this team 4 more wins off the bat so they go from 62 points to 70 points.

Having Skinner and Sheary in the top 6 gives them 3 more wins so 70 points to 76 points.

Having Eichel play a full season gets them 3 more wings so 76 points to 82

Not having Gorges in the lineup and having Dahlin instead gives them 2 more wins 82 points to 86

Having a 3rd and 4th line of real NHL players and not just a bottom 6 of total scrubs gives them 2 more wins so 86 points to 90

Sabres finish with 14 more wins than last season

39-31-12 90 points

- Stripes77

sheary might be on the 3rd line

then again sheary might be on top line with skinner playing with casey

I must say J Buddah-Ril has really done an amazing job!!

I had previously pegged them at 82 - 84 points before Skinner.
That assumed Sheary played 1st Line and we had relatively zilch for 2nd LW.

Now with Skinner penciled in on 11st with Jack (those two are made for each other) that pushes Sheary down where he can still play with high-end talent in Stats, but face lesser competition.

I'm now saying they can get to about 93 - 97 points .... bubble team, which IMO is an outstanding job...that is a 31 - 35 point improvement from last year and about 6 more wins with Skinner on the top line (6 WAR) ...holy crap!!!

Here's my thoughts on Team Scoring by Player ... love to hear your thoughts
