Give me Tv show recommendations.
Pretty much all shows that were at the top of my list poop the bed in the last year or so (The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The 100) - chilliard77
You would really enjoy “Magnum PI” if you gave it a chance. |

Hutton was an astute acquisition. How he takes advantage of the opportunity is the key to the season now IMO.
It would also help to find another scorer. If Bootterrill can grab Kesseller somehow I think we become a very dangerous team.

I figured out what Tiger is missing
Day goes 3 under in the last 5 holes, Tiger 1 over
he loses a little focus on the back 9 - homiedclown
He's old now.
His 3rd rd scoring average this year has been really good, he just seems to struggle on Sundays, a sign of either age or a mental breakdown, which golf is a big part of. In his hey day he mowed down the opposition on Sunday. He's not the same anymore. And he still fights the fade off the driver.

The Sabres lost 24 games by one (1) goal in '17-'18,
with 12 of those lost in OT or SO, having won only 6.
Therefore, they left 36 points on the table if they won all of those tightly contested games.
((24-12)×2) + (12x1) = 36
They lost an addition 12 games by 2 goals, that is 24 points left on the table.
Of those 60 points left on the table, if they:
A) won 2/3rds of the 1 goal games
B) won 1/3rd of the 2 goal games
They would have added 32 points to their 62 and finished with 94 points...
the definition of a bubble team.
(36 x .667) + (24 x .333) = 24 + 8 = 32
They lost 23 games by more than 2 goals, therefore i'll rule those out as potential points to be earned.

The questions are ...
How confident are you that 94+/- is achievable with the Battuh-ril offseason?
How do you rationalize your confidence?

With 8 new players on the roster it will take time for them to get to know each other. The one advantage is 4 of them (Hutton, Bergy, Sobs and TT) played on the same team last year so they know each other well. Camp will be important. Who will be Dahlin's partner? Jack and Skins need to get comfortable. My only question is coaching. Can they get to 94 points this year? If they stay healthy, maybe I guess.

I went on record yesterday with a projection of 93 - 98 points...so I'm pretty confident...
Say 85% Confidence Level.
The how's:
Hutton / Ulmark combined get an additional 16 pts
(6 pts from winning 1/ 2 of points they lost in OT/SO)
(10 pts from winning 5 of the 12 one-goal losses)
- Piss poor goaltending was a huge problem in these tightly contested games.
Skinner, Sheary, Mittlestat and Okposso returning to form give the Top 6 an upgrade over the loses of Kane/ROR, providing 4 more Wins above Replacement, thereby yielding an additional 8 points.
- I think Eichel is a major benefactor here with competent wingers to gain a "force-multipluer" affect here.
-Line 2 becomes more of a scoring line, rather than trying to shut down the otber tea's top line
Berglund, Sobotka and 1 of Bailey/Baptiste/Thompson/Girgenson(the iimproved version) get 3 WAR...yielding 6 points
-gone are non-producers in Larson, Nolan and others who provided absolutely little/no value.
-effective 3rd and 4th lines can pot a goal or two while taking the burden off of Line 2 as defensive shutdown role held by ROR
An upgraded Defense gives 3 more wins, yielding 6 additional points
-Dahlin helps considerably on the PP, on effective zone breakouts, and creates an effectice 2nd pairing
-Healthy Bogo helps create effective 2nd pairing
-Risto plays stronger with reduced TOI given stronger 2nd pairing
-Nelson and healthyMcCabe form a solid 3rd pairing
-effective 7 D with Hunwick, or Guhle as call-up
Therefore
62+16+8+6+6 = 98 pt |

I like the optimism I just think you’re like 8 points too high.
However I think that this season falls on Huttons shoulders. If he plays like he did last year for 50+ games then the Sabres are a playoff team. I’m hoping he’s the next Tim Thomas.

Pardon this rant, I don’t usually do this.
My wife is financially illiterate. You might ask why I let a financially illiterate person pay the bills for the household, and it’s a long story with what is ultimately a bad answer. So I recognize that this problem is all my own making, but what the actual (frank)!!??
We finally got rid of our landline in April - it was through Frontier Comminications. At the time we terminated the service, we had a $185.07 credit on our account (I’m not even sure she knows how to read a bill.)
When I got the June statement showing I was owed a refund, I called, waited on hold 15 minutes, told the human all the same account information I had already tapped out on the touchstone pad, and then got transferred to a different department where I went through the entire twofold process again. They told me I would be getting a prepaid debit card, not a check, and that I should look for it in the mail. (They use debit cards because people often leave a balance on the debit card before they thrown them away so Frontier doesn’t actually make a full refund.)
In July, when the statement came again, but no refund, I called again, waited another 25 minutes, went through the two step computer-human process another time, and then hung up when they transferred me to the collections department. (Remember, they owe ME money, not the opposite.).
Today, I got a third statement, but still no refund. I waited on hold 35 minutes this morning, and the “couldn’t give two sits” customer service rep (who needed me to tell her all the same info I already keyed in so they could route my call) finally says that Frontier’s policy is that those refunds are made 3 MONTHS after the account is closed.
I asked her, “do you know how many days delinquent a customer can be before their service is cancelled?” She says, “generally speaking 60 days”. I said, if you expect your money within 60 days why don’t you pay people theirs within 60”. She says, “I didn’t make the policy, and they ain’t gonna change it”. Then she says, “There’s an exception if your on active duty and you’re going to be deployed overseas.” So they CAN process the refund sooner. They just don’t.
(frank)ing counts. (frank)ing counts. Goddamn!
$185 Bucks. It won’t pay the rent or anything, but it’s a nice coupla rounds at Eagle Vale.
*end rant* |

Let's hope he makes it very, very difficult decision for the brain trust.
If so, JBotts has to clear out some LhD.
Guhld can still be sent down without exposing him to waivers, that is a mjor factor |
