We have plenty of forwards to cover his time until a Sabres friendly contract is in place.

I think we only have 6 million in space

Matthews would have more points on the Sabre’s and Eichel would have less on the Leafs.

Eichel would see his ice time go down, Eichel would likely be on the second power play line, like Matthews was.

Matthews would see his ice time increase and would likely be on the top power play line.

Being on a better team doesn’t automatically mean you get more points.

So playing with better players means his point totals would go down? That makes zero sense. If anything his first year he would have played against lower competition on the 2nd line with players that are still better than what he played with here.

I can almost see what he is trying to say but he only looks at it one way which of course it’s coming from a leaf fan.

I would be willing to bet their point totals would flip if they flipped teams. Meaning Eichel would have Matthews point totals if he was a Leaf and Matthews would have Eichel’s point totals if he was a Sabre. Of course taking into injuries and such.

Skinner with Eichel and Reinhart seems can be a dominant line. Have a vet line that can play against other teams top lines with Erod-Berglund-Okposo. Then have Mitts ride with Sheary and one of Thompson/Bailey/Baptiste/Pominville.

One more thing from me today, believe Hamster was on with S&BD when I was listening. Mentioned Botts referred to McCabe by name in some interview or maybe presser about Skinner. Lead Paul to believe McCabe was safe, but was uncertain about Guhle and made it sound like he could be a piece moved.

I hope not. I hope neither get moved.

Then Scandella/McCabe will be pooping in their shorts. If Guhle is a piece that teams want then the return better be worth it.
