Im definitely not trying to be biased either. Quinn didnt obstruct rassmussen at all in the tip goal. I just wouldnt place all blame at all on that 5th goal. He did what they teach you in minor hockey.

I didn’t see the Rasmussen goal. Beauty assist for Quinn there. Fearless drive to the net

He drove the winger to the outside for the shot. Thats exactly what they teach you in peewee. He took the shot from the right faceoff circle dot, not sure i would put all blame on quinn for that..

You’ve got some real blinders on. Puck watching, doesn’t look for his man till his man has the puck then turns away from the shooter when he turns.

There isn’t an angling or even getting in the way.

Ill agree to disagree then. Im not going to argue over opinion. No one is exempt from blame, i truly just dont feel it was all his fault like you are alluding to.

Just for the record, werent you the most critical of the canucks getting quinn on draft day?

I rewatched it 6 times lol. He was probably overly aggressive trying to prevent the zone entry which allowed his man to get a step on him. Not sure why he turned inside but it didnt cause him to get burned. A bit of blame on Hughes and the goaltender. It was also just a nice play by Canada

I didn’t “blame” him for the goal. I said his defence is a work in progress.

Yeah, I didn’t love the pick at 7.

So did I

If he turns towards he might be able to get stick on stick to put him off. If he looked over his shoulder before he could have closed the gap earlier. Noticed he has turned away quite a few times this game.

That’s the way he turns possibly playing on the right side would be better

Lol i havent been involved much on the linden discussion the last few days, was over it the day it happened. Aug is a pretty dreadful month for hockey discussion, just wait till sept, its going to get really pom-pommie and hateful in here

It usually happens with Canucks players

His offence is clearly NHL ready. His defence could use another year to fine tune it.

I'll take a few mistakes along the way if he generates that many scoring chances
