Damn Tkachuk is such a beast. Just manhandling everyone - CanuckDon
I would have gladly drafted him . So many here were wrong thinking he was just a tough guy. Ottawa made a good choice |

Here I’m thinking Woo has had a steady game. Takes a penalty |

I had Zadina sliding down with a D heavy draft but wasn’t sure if far enough to us. I did think Tkachuk would fall to us but was wrong on that one. I was hoping Hughes fell & I thought we had a shot at a D for sure. For me it came down to Wahlstrom Dobson & Bouchard in that order. The draft had many wrinkles in it but more than happy with Hughes. Boqvist i was undecided on. |

Yeah, I preferred him over Wahlstrom if they were going to take a winger.
But Hughes is the engine out there along with his brother, Tkachuk looks more like a high end complementary player.
Canucks need as many engines as they can get their hands on |

Lol - I love preemptive tears. My favourite kind! Green is going to wreck Quinn in 14 months! |

The year hasn't started yet, a lot can changes in a year for 17 year olds. - VANTEL
It's possible, but consensus 1OA picks usually stay up top. |

Nolan developed physically at a young age and is made of glass. Jack clearly doesn’t rely on size for his game. Hopefully he stays healthy this year |

Actually the more I watch Jack the less I want him. He plays just like his brother. Don't get me wrong I love the Quinn Hughes but I don't want a bunch of play makers only. I would like a good mix throughout the team. |

Not everyone has to like the same players
I think with Pettersson and Quinn we will have too much of the same thing . I am hoping some prospects climb the charts that we need |

Sorry I didn't realize Jack Hughes would be the only talented player at the draft next year.
It is amazing how many people want to change others thought processing on here

I will be thrilled when we select Raphael Lavoie, in 2019 and Alexis Lafreniere in 2020.😁 |

My sights are not set on Jack it’d be nice but i like some of the others. He’s pretty good but i think Quinn looks better. A few other good C’s out there that would be great picks & double up on need. Byram on D looks great for me but is another LHD. |

Reason why teams aren’t doing as much BPA no matter. BPA for teams needs in the future seems to be the new norm. |

I think if he is there, you take him.
Trade him for a power forward and another 1st rounder. Or keep him. Similar style to his brother, but they don't always have to be on the ice at the same time. He seems to drive the play. Every team is looking for that type of player.
expecting we will be in the position for a good lottery pick next summer.
makes me wonder if we some how got the #1OA, what that pick would be worth in a trade? has anyone ever traded the number 1 pick? why not if you don't necessarily want the consensus #1? Islanders sure had a lot of picks and could have made an interesting offer last season. |

I’ve always leaned towards need unless BPA was too good to pass up on. Trade down if needed & get a sweetener to make it worthwhile. Generational players are never traded. |

Interesting, I've always leaned towards BPA unless need was important. Never trade down, always get your man no matter the position and Generational players could fetch a huge return.
Eric Lindros trade ? |
