What’s the debate exactly?

From what I gather, if you didn’t like that Kane was injured, you shouldn’t want any player with an injury history, right? Regardless of the numerous other circumstances that make Enstrom and Kane completely irrelevant to each other.

With a pending lockout coming, I would think that there would be compliance buyouts again. That would take care of any unwanted contract we would want to part ways with. With $30m in cap space next year and $50m the following, I don't foresee a problem yet.

Fun note, Carolina's 5th highest paid forward is Semin and Toronto's 3rd highest is Horton.
