I know Hall won the Hart last year but he isn't better than Giroux, and neither is Panarin. Giroux has the second most points of any player from 2010 to now and was second in the entire league in scoring last year. This really shouldn't be an argument.

Definitely not!!! But, if you think Marner's agent won't pull up the Stone contract and the Wilson contract as recent comparables, you are thinking with your heart, and not your head. These latest contracts will be used by every agent worth their salt when negotiations take place. Have no doubt!

How is THIS contentious? Whether he was a C playing wing or winger, he was still among the most effective players playing the wing position in the league last year. These rankings happen on a yearly basis and therefore should value recent data above all else.

stone had 62 pts in 58 games.....and is a VASTLY better 2-way player

so, in case your math isn't that great.......marner had only 2 more goals and 7 more points, but played in 24 more games. he also had JVR, and if i'm not mistaken, kadri, on his line. stone usually played with guys like ryan, pageau, and smith
