not using such language, there is space there. It's tough with Detroit because they have such a dearth of talent, but other teams looking to resign RFAs would move a different player that is desirable to open up space. Much like the Palmieri and Johansson trades.

Eh his first 3 were poop and last year was because 97. Maybe playing with 97 will "wake up" his potential. Im sure hes a def upgrade over 4 of our 6 dmen anyway so I wont knock this potential deal.

First "season" was two games, and yeah he had too bad years growing into his spot. McDavid is going to boost any player, obviously, but I don't have his charts with/without players. playing 22 minutes a night with 50.9 CF% on a terrible team is not bad.

in some ways yes, in others not so much. It may be telling for Zacha and Severson. They're running out of years to be more than they are. maybe 1 more years after this for Zacha. All the other kids were basically rookies last year and have time to develop this year. just gotta hope that happens instead of a down or stagnant season.
