In case he goes back to more the Sam of the first 30 games of last year. - sbroads24
He’s played ~250 games in the NHL. 220 of those suggest we should buy up the free agency years and get them as cheap as we can. Don’t get distracted by the 12% exception - focus on the 88% rule. |

If it came from anybody but Harrington, it would be taken more seriously. This fanbase should demand, not just hope for, greatness from Jack Eichel, especially given his current profile. - buffalofan19

that would be the 4 I pick
put fleetwood and hossler on the bench - homiedclown
Don't think Tiger will do much this week, he seems to be running out of gas.
My picks are Koepka, DJ, Rory and Thomas with Finau and Fleetwood in the bench.

Id rather pay him a premium after 2 years of producing. I still feel his ceiling is 60-65 points. His floor is still a 3rd line PP specialist to me. If he shows he can hit 70 points, sweet |

Before they pay him that, though, I'd like him to hit 60-65 points.
What's he worth now, $4.75-5.25?
I'd rather they do that for 2 years than pay him for a projection |

I've seen too many of these sabres deals that look like bargains go to poop: Hodgson, Ennis, Myers. I'd rather pay him market value than guess what he might be. No way I'd hand him $40m today |

Agree it's safer to do the bridge, but with Dahlin and Mittelstadt coming down the turnpike to big deals, you might be in the place where saving now affords you the ability to keep the team intact around them.
Reinhart could stall out at 50pts and make his long term deal an albatross, but I think it's just as likely, if he signs a bridge, that he scores 65pts and gets 7-8 in a couple years. Remember, prices are going up. |

So far, Reinhart isn't able to hold his own line, or produce on his own.
If he shows he can do that, or if he shows he's consistently great with either Eichel or Mittelstadt, I'd pay him, but I'd rather do the bridge deal.
It would also be nice to know that he can play C/RW, but that nearly always looks bad. He can't produce from the 3rd line. He's not a driver on the top-2 lines, he's more of a passenger. I'm not saying these things will always be this way, but until it changes, there are warning signs against signing him long term. |

Sure, but until we get a really nice season (60-65p), I just wouldn't commit long term. Reinhart worked pretty well with ROR, let's see if he has the chemistry with one of these guys to have a career year. |
