At one point the Sabres defense consisted of Marco Scandella/Justin Falk, Jake McCabe/Nathan Beaulieu, Josh Gorges/Victor Antipin, not exactly the defense Housley worked with in Nashville.

Scotty Bowman in him prime couldn't have done anything with that D.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Corey Coleman "pondered his options" before reporting to the Bills.

Coleman's only other option would have been not to play NFL football in 2018, so it's not a surprise he's shown up. Going from a 1-31 team to arguably the league's weakest passing attack is surely deflating but it is still ultimately a positive move for Coleman after the Browns' coaching staff gave up on him. Although he's begun to be labeled a bust, Coleman is still only 24, and his NFL injury history has been fluky. Even with Josh Allen or A.J. McCarron, Coleman could get his career on track this season.

Fvck, I just realized I’ve been posting on this site for 12 yrs

Yep, another old school guy here
I think i signed up right before we lost Briere & Drury

Pretty sure my first big take (which i got ripped for by many) was that we should keep Briere over Drury if we can only keep one of them

And then i said we should at least consider taking the four 1sts for Vanek

Still can’t believe we let both our Captains walk
That team would’ve stayed a contender for at least a few more years
Ugh

I generally like your blogs but aren't we beating dead hors.....strike that; we're beating a horse that died, fell off a cliff onto RR tracks and dragged until the train derailed and exploded.

That's a better summary of the last 3 seasons. We were near worst in almost every category there is.

Do we really need to relive it all?
