i think a big factor in him picking us is because he wanted to prove that he is a #1.. not many teams were probably giving him that opportunity. but liking our team i am sure was part of it.

don't know about leadership, but i think he has to bring a hard work stick to it mentality considering he is still fighting for his position

they don't count shorties against you in PP rankings.. so maybe we can be a top 5 PP with the most SHG against. that would be interesting..

RoR accepted a trade to Buffalo on the same day he knew we were going to draft Eichel and he'd be the guy here. When the entire organization and city didn't drop Eichel and back him, he threw fits. I have no issues with any player wanting to be the star of the team, but you have to do it through actions, not demands. This is Eichel's year to prove he's the captain of this team and a 100 pt center. If he doesn't take the bull by the horns I'm okay with seeing if Dahlin will be that leader for us.

Because what I think you're really thinking about is a single interview where he said he lost his passion for the game "on occasion," and while that aint a great thing to admit, it happened once, and Jack himself got tempermental during interviews on several occasions in the same timeframe.

And all I'm really saying here is that ROR is not nearly the villain some people are making him out to be. He's gone, like Kane, Myers, and Armia. But he ain't a villain.
