Fighting a good fighter, while not being a fighter or knowing how, doesnt give you big sutter balls, it makes you stupid. Everyone has a specific skill set in the NHL, scoring, playmaking, grinding, checking, etc. Know your skillset and make use of it. Boeser trying to hip check clutterbuck, doesnt give him big balls either lol. Canucks havent had a proper fighter since rypien. The problem now is you cant just be a fighter in the NHL, you need to be more, which is why Tom Wilson was paid what he was (even though it was an overpayment)

True, there's no place for Gaunce and Beagle is a slow marginal player. He may help the PP and win some faceoffs but imo that's not a scale tipping event.

Toews Thorton Crosby Getzloff all talented scorers that will do whatever it takes to win . I am shooting down your argument , not comparing Beagle to the elite talent of the league

I think again, there is a bit of a disconnect in the definition. Standing up for yourself and your team mates should be in the blue print of EVERY player. I never disputed that, or if i did, it was my fault for poor communication. Would i prefer boeser to score goals and not throw hip checks on 4th line plugs like clutterbuck, absolutely. Would i prefer gudbranson fighting a guy like martin than stecher or miller, absolutely. I want EVERY player who suits up in blue and green to stand up for themselves or their team mates. Will i admit beagle brings more of that than half the team, absolutely.
