Also, I thought Carlo Colaiacovo was a decent Sabre. The two may be interrelated

So that everyone is perfectly clear - I stopped drinking because my son told me he thought his weed smoking (which was, and remains, remarkable in its scope) was not very different than my having a few pops, as a way to chill out.

So I quit to show him there are other ways to chill out.

As you might imagine, when some brainless moron tries to insult me as a “recovering alchy” it’s one of those blind spot boomerang things - something somebody throws out into the world that swings back around and hurts them instead, usually without them even realizing it. It’s just another example of the breadth and depth of utter cluelessness, and an additional gauge of the quality of the input.

Does anyone have proof of this so called drug issue? The fact is Sam is the best Sabre in front of the net since Andreychuk...and yes that includes Vanek. The kid takes a beating, scores goals, and never gets injured, and I'm reading posts claiming he isn't tough? He certainly doesn't take his beating and skate back to the bench like his back is broken like Vanek did either. The kid was picked 2nd, is progressing nicely, and is never going to be the all-around, all-world player that many of you are expecting...like 98% of everyone else in the NHL...geezus

He's the best puck tipper since Vanek, but he's not better at it than Vanek. His shot isn't nearly as good as Vanek's. He had 7 straight seasons of 25 goals, and 8 in a row with at least 20 goals, including a 38 game shortened campaign

Vanek also had more points in 2017-2018 at age 34. He has a good long way to go before he's the offensive player vanek was/is.

There's a lot of hyperbole flying around here. Just because I don't want a long term deal yet doesn't mean I think he sucks.
