Yes before any games are played I still feel he's the 3rd best dman. Simply put.
I will feel free to change my mind any time and will have no problem admitting my projection was off. My point is where he was drafted hasnt changed my mind. Need to see some hockey to do that. Dobson looked damn good in the summer showcase... not that it's much of a gauge. I just get the feeling he will make a couple of teams regret passing on him still. - boonerbuck
It doesn't surprise me. I rank him 4th but that's not a big difference. |

You'd be very naive to think I've never paid any taxes. For several years I paid around 100K dollar a year in income tax. I think I've contributed my share and probably yours too - LeftCoaster

My four yo was 9 weeks early. I was relatively poor but owned my own home. He would have cost 250k or died if I didn't live in canada. When all those hot dogs give you a jammer you'll love our system. |

I hate to break it to you, but if you're a mill worker making around 100k dollars a year, you already pay that money in taxes that they don't pay as they're generally taxed at a much lower rate.
It's a huge misconception we have free healthcare! We pay through the ass in taxes to fund our system, they pay out of their pockets from after tax dollars.
If you make around or over 90k dollars in BC you pay 12.29% + 26% or 38.29%. In Arizona for the same income bracket you'd pay 4.24% + 24% or 28.24% of your income. Plus you can write your mortgages off and way more than we can.
There's ~ your 1000 dollars per month right there. - LeftCoaster
I agree with this. I'm a libertarian. Fire the bureaucracy. They are the problem, damn big government. |

We need a two tier system. - LeftCoaster
Yes yes yes. Im only 33 and ive been sayin this for years. Those with money pay big time to get stuff done and the money all goes back into health care creating more hospitals nurses doctirs ect therefore reducing wait times for check ups and emergencies and surgeries. Itll mever happen but thats the fix. And no Im not some poor person looking for a hand out if the folks that can afford it want to get it done faster they have the choie and it eill benefit everyone in the end

That's not what I mean, if I wanna pay I shouldn't have to fly to Seattle for surgery, I should be able to get it in Victoria where Canadian healthcare workers are paid to provide that. - LeftCoaster
What you wanna is irrelevant. If you want to pay then you gotta leave. Plus, if Canada went two-tier you couldn’t afford it. Our system is not built for efficiency and cost control. |

Not an option, I was an employee with corporate bonuses and in the share program, you don't get that as a contractor. |

Yeah, in the 80's literally most of the biggest movies had his songs in them, either as theme songs or just on the soundtracks. I can't wait to see Bohemian Rhapsody too, I'd love to see how they all got started and how they came up with their songs. Did you know that Freddy Mercury is the only singer in history to have been able to sing in /4/ vocal ranges? Even the best opera singers can't match that. He could go from tenor to countertenor to contralto to close to soprano and he had the power to project from all those ranges too. - DariusKnight
Freddie was great of course but there were others that could match even top his range in certain circumstances:
Mariah Carey of course (Whitney Houston as well somewhat) was a 5 octave singer and could even hit notes in the whistle register.
All Rose sang baritone and was said to have hit 4 octaves.
Freddie Mercury was a Legiero Tenor F2-F5 (3 octaves); up to E6 in falsetto (which makes 3 7/8 in falsetto). Freddie was also close to 4 octaves.
Micheal Matijevic (from the rock band Steelheart) could hit 3 5/12 octaves in full voice no falsetto.
Then there is Geoff Tate of Queensryche in his heyday could sing High Baritone A1-A5 and hit 5 full octaves.
But Freddie did have massive range over 4 zones to be sure. |

Many don't like Trump...but that doesn't mean he is doing a poor job.
Reverse effect from Obama. Obama was the 'peoples champion' of sorts and many liked him...but was a bonafide political disaster. |

For a family of four, United States citizens, a thousand dollars per month will get you excellent excellent healthcare down there.
Their problem is a lot of people can't afford that thousand dollars a month. - LeftCoaster
True but $1000 per month is a thing of the past for most. My buddy is a State police officer in Everett Washington and under 'Obamacare' his family of four health premiums went from $1200 per month to $1800
Not sure if Trump has changed any of that as of yet...

I was reading the other day that Axl Rose has nearly 5 octaves and he would have had an even wider range if he were not a smoker |

Good point forgot about Halford:
In the studio, he has sung notes ranging from C#2 to C6, giving him a semitone short of 4 octaves. Not sure if he ever hit those notes live but had massive range as well. |

I have heard this as well but not really confirmed. Some have claimed that AXL could hit 6 octaves at times that would even eclipse Mariah Carey. |

Interesting factoid about Freddie and Queen, most of the highest notes sung on queen songs weren’t done by Freddie, they were hit by Roger Taylor the drummer. |

also true. Many said that Taylor was Queen's 'secret weapon' vocally. It is said that Taylor could hit 4 octaves at times in the E2-E6 range I believe. A big factor in Queen to be sure.
Range is debatable for Taylor however, possibly a 3 octave voice range some say his Falsetto ranged from Soprano High C to E |

I'm expecting a lot of Pain watching Nilsson play this season.
It's hard enough watching Markstrom. |
