No. from the middle where I left off yesterday before my daily drive into signal range. Exactly 4 weeks to the day that I had a signal at home. Calling Explorenet this week actually. Things will be good inside the next month.

Wow, that’s one of the problems living rurally.

Two years ago I guarantee your feet would have washed up somewhere in Georgia Straight after the picnic.

Odds are there will be an accidental/preventable death. There are too many variables that lean towards it happening.

So.... before a game is played you put the fifth drafted D in third place?

I can see dropping bouchard down because he's slower then Donald when he's mistakenly served decaf....

- Pres.cup

Not a big stretch. 2008 6 Defenceman went ahead of Karlsson. Only real comparable was Drew Doughtey.

Yes variables. many, many picnic variables.

That’s my only hope of survival. Like a school of fish, too many targets...

Exposure from parents or older siblings? My taste in music is generally older than I am too.
- bloatedmosquito

Mainly my parents. Im the oldest. I cant stand the stuff that comes out now. Theres a reason they sound all terrible when they play live

There is good stuff out now people just have to look for it. 90% of the crap on mainstream radio is crap and people in general are lazy and want great music to fall into their laps when all it really requires is a little bit of effort.

I dont mean all music, but its much harder for me to like whats out now compared to oldies. Grew up on queen, the police, eagles, tom petty, carpenters, 54-40, pearl jam. Beejees(older), led zep, pink floyd, All to name a few. I mainly listen to a local music station (the zone 91.3) which play a ton of local stuff, most of which is not quite my type, but i can appreciate their talent.

fair enough of course. Have you checked out CKUA.com? Quite and eclectic mix of tunes. Very diverse.

I'm a 70's kid which has an affliction for 80's music especially the metal era.

But I started to really teach myself the guitar in the 90's which totally opened my eyes to the talent levels actually involved in making great music.

I was also fortunate that have parents with a fairly extensive vinyl collection as well...which really helped me along.

Mainstream radio is basically to catch the local news in the morning. Other than that it serves no purpose.

Sirius satellite radio is great. Tons of choices that aren't top 40 BS. Alt nation is my current fav channel.

I love live music but I'm very selective about who I see because of this. In the last couple years I've seen Green Day, Rise Against, OneRepublic and Imagine Dragons. All pretty amazing shows

Both my wife and I had trial siruis radio accounts with our cars but found them to be super shotty, always cutting in and out. We opted to not continue with them, but it sucks because we dont have cd drives in our cars either. Either mp3 or radio
