I didn't realize how good Koepka is, two majors in two months, awesome playing.

But we lose it in 4 years when we are cup contenders. After Hughes Pettersson and Boeser each make 11 mil and Jake Lind Demko Gadjovich Dahlen and Demko make 9 mil each per then we will surely be in cap hell

I suggest we sign 13 Gaunces at 800 K each

- VANTEL

I could live with two guance's and a Dorset on the fourth for 1.75m each. Stack the top lines for offense. Feed all the DZ starts to them.

What do you think boeser is going to get paid? 5 or 6 on a short term, then 8 to 10 on the re-up if he meets expectations.

Peterson if he comes in and bangs out 50, 60, 70 point season's? Lots, I'm hopeful he can be a ppg player which means he'll get paid! In the years, if the cap keeps rising, I could see him getting over ten per.... at least I hope that he's that good.

What explains do you have on Hughes if he burns a year at the end of this season. In the years, what do you think he could be worth? I'm hoping that I'm the years he's one of the top scoring defensemen which means he's going to get paid.

In the years the rest of those guys will be getting raises to, not anywhere near what your rolling your eyes at, but still get paid.

Beginning will probably try to resign Sutter and tanev if he can't deal them, knowing how Benning negotiates, they're gonna get paid.

Ill go on record right now. Filip Broberg wont be a top 5 pick. Not even a top 10. He plays like Edler.

How Benning negotiates...
Resigned players he has done a very good job of it & hard to argue other than Hutton.

He’s done fine with the cap. LE excluded but the UFA’s were either plugs for experience or lately the bottom 6 role players to let the kids fight it out for top 6.

Sutter. 0.5m overpaid
Gudbranson 0.5m overpaid
Hutton 3.5m overpaid
Beagle 0.5m overpaid and unnecessary
Miller 1.5m overpaid
Nielson 0.5m overpaid
Markstrom 0.5m overpaid

I'm beginning to see a pattern.....

It's just the cost of doing business in a market on the decline. Benning has a plan, and has been executing it flawlessly. As the new young star players begin to perform in the NHL free agents will be lining up to come here. Just look at this off season, the Canacks managed to get two of the most in demand players to sign for well under what they could have gotten somewhere else.

Sutter was ok value
EG yet to show he’s worth it
Hutton already mentioned
Beagle yet to be seen
Miller didn’t matter the price at the time
Nillson only a placeholder backup
Marky not gonna quibble on the price

How about Sven Bo Granlund JV?
All good signings for value.

This is an interesting feature at capfriendly - cost per point. Could prove useful in generating healthy debate on a players's contribution to team success.

Other than LE the terms on all the contracts are either good or manageable. Allows a lot of flexibility once this season of the post Sedins gets rooted. The old UFA contracts expire & the newer ones are iffy but still we can live with them or possible TDL moves are potentially there.

It doesn’t paint a great picture for us lol

I can accept it for we are turning the page & use the future as a spring board to better values. I don’t project thats the case til 2019-20 with the next season showing the signs it will trend in that direction. It will be no doubt a tough season if the D shows no signs of big progress. Thats a big IF 😂😂

Sutter gets all the tough TOI
Johansen cost the Preds Jones
Stastny signed as a UFA
Kopotar is a stud & payed like one
RNH is a 1oa we’ve never had
Johnson is great value
Gagner is a tweener plug only
Kuz is a difference maker
Malkin is payed handsomely to produce
- Toews & Kane take notice...PO’s? Nope

I didn’t mean anything by those comparables you tossed out there.

Of course that's what he's saying, why should it be otherwise. Only Eriksson is an overpayment in term or money. The rest are all good, if not great value.
In a year, or three, top flight free agents will be lining up to get a chance to play with beagle and rousell! Not just playoffs, presidents cup!
