Patric hornqvist was the very last pick in the draft. Guarentee he would make the biggest jump in a redraft. Also, I would think Ben Bishop should get an honorable mention. |

guaranteed he'd make the biggest jump, but also guaranteed it wouldn't be all the way into the top 10. |

I'm glad Letang slid to the third round. This draft had its highlights, but after 2003 and 2004, not as loaded. |

No F'n way Vlasic is ahead of Letang or Neal is ahead of Stastny. - Barnaby36
There's a reason Vlasic consistently makes team Canada, I'd take him over Letang if I wanted a defenseman to actually play defense. Neal and Stastny are probably interchangeable. |

that's a good list....I might re-arrange a bit but those are probably the 10 I'd have in there. I think you could maybe put Yandle in the mix too, guy has 466 career points (6th highest pt total from that draft year, and most by and dman) - sensarmy_11
I wanted Yandle in there over Ryan but I figured I'd cause a poopstorm |

There's a reason Letang is a 3 time Stanley Cup champion as well. Thank you. |

I think the whole purpose of this blog was to be an indirect jab at Jack Johnson who went 3rd overall that year... |

if you're basing the re-draft on their entire careers....then ryan deserves to be in the top 10 for sure......I think he's the 3rd highest point producer of that draft class.
if you're basing it on the player they are right now, then he absolutely doesn't belong in the top 10. |

I'll stick with 2. He has his name on the Cup three times, sure, but he had nothing to do with the 2017 win. |

Yep. And Carson Wentz is a Super Bowl winning quarterback. |

Except for the regular season that got them there. During postseason he was working with coaching staff with mic and head phone set from press box every game. Was also still a huge part of locker room every day during the run.
I get where you're coming from but saying he had NOTHING to do with it is just silly. |

Then would you say that Carson Wentz was a Super Bowl champion quartberack last season?
He didn't play 1 second of the playoffs, but he was the main reason they made the playoffs, and he was on the sideline helping Foles as much as he could. |

He played 41 games that season, so there's that. Maybe his off-ice contributions did significantly help them, but as a player he's a two-time champ. |

Am I alone in thinking Stastny has been pretty mediocre over the course of his career? He was awesome this past season, but he never really lived up to the hype. |

He had 3 70+ point seasons in his first 4 years, but he never returned to that form. If we're talking overall careers, I'm surprised Ryan put him so high. |
