He had 3 70+ point seasons in his first 4 years, but he never returned to that form. If we're talking overall careers, I'm surprised Ryan put him so high. - Thrill81
I don't think he should be on that list. Swap him out for Quick. |

Then would you say that Carson Wentz was a Super Bowl champion quartberack last season?
He didn't play 1 second of the playoffs, but he was the main reason they made the playoffs, and he was on the sideline helping Foles as much as he could. - jmatchett383

If they got to draft knowing how their careers would turn out, Price, Quick, and Rask would have gone 2,3,4.
No one would turn down the opportunity to have a franchise player in the most important position for the next 15 years for a Kopitar or a Letang. |

Quick really got snubbed off this list. I'd take him over 6-10 on this list. |

He played 41 games that season, so there's that. Maybe his off-ice contributions did significantly help them, but as a player he's a two-time champ. - PancakesPenner
No, factually, as a player he has 3 rings and his name engraved on the cup 3 different times. |

You don't draft anyone over Price except Kopitar and Sid. Get real.
If Montreal didn't lean on him the way they have, and built their team properly, they'd likely have a cup already, and likely would have already gotten to the finals despite that if Kreider wasn't such a piece of garbage. - Lato649
Pssst. Pssst. Hey, hey you.
You should tell your defensemen to keep their sticks out of other peoples skates.

I'm just asking. If you want to consider Letang to be a 3-time Stanley Cup champion defenseman, then it seems logical that Carson Wentz is a Super Bowl champion quarterback. |

Meh. Slightly above average goaltending is all you need to win a cup if your roster is built correct. I’d rather have a 1C or 1D 100x over than a starting goalie. |

We've had some of the best centers, both in star power and depth, in the league throughout the 80s and 90s (Lindros, Brind'Amour, Roenick, Forsberg, Richards/Carter, Giroux), and had guys like Mark Howe, Eric Desjardins, Kimmo Timonen, and Chris Pronger anchoring the blue line. But we always cheaped out on the goaltending, and it was always our undoing. |

Which is already better than Vlasic. Thank you.
Look up for Letang's name on the Cup and you'll find it 3 times.
