Not really.
Rielly > Risto
Gardiner > Scandella
Hainsey > McCabe
Zaitsev, Carrick, Bergman and Dermot are all better than each of Guhle, Bogo and Beaulieu and the rest of the bums you guys have signed.
Dahlin will greatly change things in the next 2-3 seasons but until then, you guys have one of the worst D cores in the league. Yes, much worse than Edmonton and Toronto’s. - HonkyTonkMan

So Buffalo's D will all improve within 3 months, while the Leafs D will not. Got it. |

So true. I love it. Long way for us to go to match that forward group, but I like that the back end looks to be jumping beyond the bottom. I think we are going to surprise some people this year. |

No, the Leafs don't have a good defense and everyone knows that; the Sabres might have one or not - but noone outside Buffalo actually cares as it doesn't matter. |

Was McDavid better than the #1C on several teams by Christmas of his rookie year?
Of course. Reilly is one of the weaker #1D men in the league. He's not a #1 on most teams |

It's not my comparison; look back at the draft evaluators. A lot off them were calling him "the McDavid of defensemen," and most were saying he's the best D prospect since Dennis Potvin |

Was this your first time watching draft coverage?
It'd blow your mind to hear what they had to say about Nail Yakupov. |

Ristolainen is easily a top 2 defender.
Dahlin is the next Lidstrom/Karlsson
Those two are better than the entire defense corps of the Red Wings.
Nelson is coming into his own
McCabe is actually pretty good. Played with a bad shoulder last season.
Scandella is very underrated.
We also have Guhle who is going to be Jacob Trouba in a couple seasons.
We also have Borgen and Samuelsson waiting in the wings
- Jammerz04
This has to be Garf's burner account because no other person could post nonsense like this and actually believe it.
How isn’t Dahlin and Ristolainen better than the entire defense corps for the Red Wings? All they have back there is Mike Green who isn’t that good either.
McCabe actually did play with a bad shoulder last season, do you not know what an injury is?
How aren’t Borgen and Samuelsson not waiting in the wings?
Nelson is a decent 5-6 defenseman. Just like any of your bottom defenseman.
Scandella is very underrated, it’s been said on tsn and on the NHL network. So I guess those are burner tv programs as well?
Guhle is an insane defenseman. Was the steal of the 2nd round in his draft.
Only one who seems to have no sense is you but you’re a Pens fan. Didn’t you guys trade a 1st for Reaves then just dump him off on the Knights to facilitate a trade? To bad Botterill and Sheri made your team now he’s all alone making “nonsense” deals you know kind nonsensical things you say |

They never once called Yakupov generational bud. They have however called Dahlin that.
The players they have called generational lately, McDavid, Eichel, Matthews and Dahlin.
They’ve also called Alexis Lafreni a generational talent who will be available in the 2020 draft. |

Only McDavid has been referred to as a generational player. He’s that good.
A generation, by the way, ranges between 20-30 years. The time it takes for someone to be born and then start having children themselves.
Eichel is seen as a potential star player. He has yet to scored more than 25 goals in one season. Generational? Lol
I do love to read the confidence Sabres fans have in their team. 31st place and now world beaters. We shall see

It reminds me of leaf fans who have seen their team get bounced in the first round in back-to-back years, and now they're suddenly going to win the cup |

Oh yes. All those Leaf fans. Yes, most are looking forward to this year. Young stars are a year older and better. Tavares. Farm system stacked. Great coach. Defense will be improved. The loss of JVR is be felt tho
I don’t see them contending this year but you never know.

And? Just because my favorite team lacks a number one defender does not mean the Sabres defence is better than the Leafs.
Please explain the logic behind your post. |
