They changed pretty much nothing this season and still have Lucic to kill the momentum of any line he's on. Unless Talbot stands on his head again I don't see them being over a 90pt team.

Vancouver and Arizona are DOA. Vegas will probably regress a bit but LA, SJS and ANA are still really strong teams with CGY being a bit of wildcard based on goalchie performance too.

At best I'd put them fighting for a wildcard.

No sedins this year. Even tho they were older they were somewhat productive still.

I think they are year away still from being able to surprise teams. They have a couple really good prospects though. Be curious to see what they do with that petterson kid this year.

they would need a number of things to go right for them or at least not go badly for the Oilers to get into the playoffs again

1) McDavid health
2) awesome goaltending (consistently)
3) consistent defensive play
4) some balance in scoring
