Billy Tibbets. You could really have his mug up there 4 times.

Zac Rinaldo, Dan Kordic, and Riley Cote epitomize and define "useless" as an NHL player.

Giroux most likely will finish 2nd in points and assists and get so little respect from many. It blows my mind. Take away the C, trade him, etc etc

If Claude played for a Canadian team....he would be the best thing since pigs in a blanket (pun intended).

That would certainly help.

If the Flyers win a Cup during his captaincy, people will have no choice but to notice, but until then, people are just going to continue to overlook how good Giroux is because newer, shinier players are coming along every year.

Maybe if Giroux wasn't so "boring" unlike the electrifying 13 year old lil rascal named Mitchell Marner...

But Zac Rinaldo won us that Pittsburgh game by taking a 5-minute boarding major.

Can't kill off a 5 minute major and inspire a crowd if you don't plaster Letang into the boards in the first place.

Haha does Tanner actually believe the sh!t he writes or is he just the ultimate troll? I really don't know. I think the thing I appreciate about Bill is the lack of fancy stats he uses, I understand it can be helpful but I still feel that the eye test trumps all. A lot of bloggers on the Buzz just throw the fancy stats at you and to me it's just lazy.

Chris Therien on the all time franchise suck list? Seriously?
- MJL

Yeah that is simply ridiculous. Bundy certainly had his faults but for quite a few seasons he was a top pairing guy for a pretty good team.

Thanks Bill for the G stats and fair assessment of the rather brilliant Flyers captain!

Nice perspective on Giroux. Made me wonder again why #19 isn't hanging in the rafters of the Wells Fargo Center.

Nor, Orr had seasons of 90 and 102 prior to that.

Indeed he did! Thanks for the correction.

If he enshrined in Toronto? It seems to me that that's a requirement besides for Barry Ashbee.

I hated Bundy as a player. The ONLY guy he played well against was Jagr...inexplicably. But for the most part, he was nothing more than a pylon. He couldn't skate, didn't have much of a shot, barely hit anyone....granted, didn't take many penalties. But the guy was a TURNSTILE!

...But Bundy the color analyst? Love the guy.

Fine...you want me to replace Bundy? I raise you Adam Hall.

I disliked Riley Cote way more than Jody Shelley. Lukas Krajicek I feel like played more than Bartulis and Parent once acquired and somehow I feel like Steve Eminger would have been an upgrade above all three. Parel Brendl...Meh. I look st him like Jori Dopita. More of a disappointment then anything else.

Randy Jones, Kyle Calder, Brandon Manning, Chris Vandelde and Freddy Myer all made my list. My list comes from a view of player we kept playing no matter how bad they were.

- SuperSchennBros

the only specific memory I have about Riley Cote is when he dropped that guy Roy easily and Roy was freaking the (frank) out afterwards. Like an absolute mad man.

I remember Riley Cote's only NHL goal against Montreal and it was at the end of a game where the Flyers were getting beat. He couldn't even celebrate and enjoy it properly.

Only slightly more ignominious was Oliver Lauridsen's first NHL goal, which was really just a nice pass to a wide open Zdeno Chara.

Agreed. He moved pretty well, had good size, and used it pretty well. He didn't thump people, but he was good in puck battles and could move the puck up ice. Therien wasn't just some donkey out there.

esp considering how many other players could be on that suck list. Cripes, half the team Clarke put together the season where Holmgren could qualify
